...and infected it with the cookie monster virus. That was one epic virus Now every time someone watches a video on youtube, the cookie monster will pop up and ask for a cookie. But then something very strange happened. The elders of the internet called it...

^^I can see the guy above me will get banned very soon Anyway, I prefer my method. It doesn't require EsyWin; just the resource editor (from here: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/): 1) Make a copy of explorer.exe, and call it explorer1.exe (it's in C:\WINDOWS\") 2) open explorer1.exe with the resource editor. 3) Go to string tables, and go into 37, find "Start" (or whatever text your start button already had in it) and rename it to what you want and compile the script. Then go to 38 and do the same thing. The reason you must do both is because one of them is for the XP style themes, and the other is for the classic version style. I forget which one is whigh, so just do both 4) Open up regedit (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe) and browse to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\". Open up the "Shell" value. It should say "explorer.exe". Change this to "explorer1.exe" (the one you made a copy of and edited). 5) Log off and on again. Then it will open explorer1.exe instead of explorer.exe and you will have a different start button. You can change just about anything about your start menu with this. For example, I made my "Go" button say it was on Windows XP Dave Edition": http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/7396/43285243.png My method is better, because if you use your method and accidentally break explorer.exe, you're buggered But yeah, it's still quite good What theme are you using? I've never seen a black XP-style theme before Also, I think it's important that everyone knows that if you do this, "Search" will no longer work. I have no idea why, but nobody uses it anyway, so we should be fine If you really need to use search, just go back to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\" and change the value in "Shell" back to "explorer.exe" Also, is a smiley becuse it represents a smiley face with glasses

After that exciting event, Quinn told KD "We're Not in Kansas Anymore!", to which KD replied "Yes."

Never played Cubefield. What is it? And whoever said Fallout 3 obviously doesn't understand the concept of Character graphics...
-
If you really wanted to, you could resort to loading it in Windows Movie Maker, and clicking the next-frame button Crap quality, though. May I ask why the hell you'd want to watch a film really slowly?

nonono... Character graphics! No images, just ASCII characters and other characters that are in the font.
-
Just use the Xbox Hash Block Calculator It's here somewhere, just use the search bar.

I need ideas for some games that I should make for the PSP. I can't do any proper graphics; only character graphics. I've already made variations of minesweeper and snake. I need some more ideas.

Executing a CMD command in VB.net
miinaturvat replied to ixGAMEOVERxixx's topic in Coding / Development
You do know that when you type a command into CMD, all it does is run that program with the specified arguments? I.e if you type "ipconfig /all", all CMD does is run "ipconfig.exe" and pass it the argument "/all". CMD is nothing special; it just executes things. -
It's definately not all NXE re-signers. It's like saying "I have a list of every variation of the classic 'snake' game". And the .NET bar gets a bit old after a while

I'd personally release the source with the app. That way, if there is a problem with your program, people will be able to fix it and make it better, and other people can learn from what you have done, too. But yeah, it's looking good for your first app

Now make a tool that lets you put music on to your Xbox's HDD that you've already ripped on your PC to MP3 format with the LAME encoder I don't like having to re-rip all my CDs onto the Xbox.

Let me get my screwdriver set out Okay, they're torque "Security" screws. Ordinary Torque screwdrivers will be difficult to use because there is a small 'outdent' in the top of the screw. I managed to open mine with a T8 security screw head, but they're probably T6, because the screw felt a little too tight for the head to fit in. They're similat to the type of screws that hold the Xbox360 together, except the xbox ones don't have little outdents on the top of the screws. So either buy a set of Torque Security screwdrivers, or use the trick I just discovered while trying to open my other controller: Use a flat-head screwdriver to snap off the small outdent on the top of the screw so the T8/T6 screwdriver fits in. There are 7 screws in total to take out; there is one behind the barcode where the battery normally goes.

The "Clone" is your dead body, but with the wrong 'animation' (is that the right word? ). Instead of the death animation, it becomes the turret-holding animation. They'll last as long as a normal dead body will last.

I play drums occastionally and happen to know that a 'Flam' is a tecnique which involves hitting a drum with both sticks, the first stick just before the second stick. So if you think about it, being flammed actually sounds quite sore... So you are correct; that is a downside.

Well, I've had a red avatar for some time now... No ban yet. Most of the people that work at microsoft probably don't even play xbox much and will think that colored skin is normal. And the people who know it's not normally obtainable will either not care, or won't have the time to ban you. After all, there are more important things for microsoft to think about than a few kids with multicoloured avatars (game piracy, etc). And it's not like people are paid to look at everybody's avatar, is it? The only way they'd see it is through a complete fluke, or if people file enough complaints about you. And most people won't even see your avatar, so why would they file a complaint against you? There's a very little chance of getting banned for this.

Rather pointless... I'm pretty sure they all look like that

is there any way in downloading a third person mod
miinaturvat replied to wkdwilliams's topic in Mods
So please explain what happens when you pick up a turret? It looks pretty third-person to me -
Reminds me of Lewis from Left 4 Dead. Is it Lewis from Left 4 Dead?

Okay, I thought I'd help a little... When you said the first one was skin color and second was hair color, I found most of the others: 1 = Skin color. 2 = Hair Color. 3 = Lips color. 4 = Eye color. 5 = Eyebrow Color. 6 = No idea. 7 = Facial hair color. 8 = Facial Feature Color. 9 = No idea. Here's what my guy looks like now: http://avatar.xboxlive.com/avatar/miinaturvat/avatar-body.png

What's XData? And surely you'll be banned for doing this...?
