A bricked PSP is a PSP with broken firmware which stops it booting, making it nothing but an expensive paperweight. It can be fixed by flashing working firmware back to the PSP again. The pandora battery and magic memory stick make this possible on a bricked PSP. You don't need XP to do this... I don't know who came up with that idea

What do you mean by a normal capture card? If it's a HD capture card, then yes. If it's not a HD capture card, then no Decent capture cards cost lots of money.
