I'm gonna be making a gametype creator for the PC that will allow people to create a gametype on the PC. It will do what the Halo 3 creator does, but more For this, I need complete whitepapers for each gametype. So far, I have every possible editable value neatly mapped out for each gametype, but I only have the enums and offsets for about half the slayer gametype. I don't really have enough free time to complete these whitepapers, so if everyone could contribute, they would be completed quite quickly. Download what I have done so far, and submit any extra enums and offsets, and I'll update the one's for download every now and again Linky: http://www.sendspace.com/file/x6virx With everyone's help, this will be done in no time
I have read up on IEEE 754 and sort of understand the math, but I don't know how to make a program do the math... Is there a simple way of doing it? Or maybe a class in C# that already does it?
hello I wish to write a program, preferably in C# but possibly VB, that when you enter a floating point value it gives you the hexadecimal representation of the float, and when you enter a hexidecimal number, it shows it's value as a float. E.g 0x41200000 is 10 as a float. But what is 0x41200001 as a float? I want my program to do work this out. Only problem is, I don't know how to do this! Could someone help me out? like provide bits of code or something? Thanks

If you've just set primary and secondary weapon to swords, it won't work. But, if you've set primary to sword and secondary to the depleated sword that looks working, it might be possible to have 2 swords...
Humans can't start with 'no weapon'. You could start with flamethrowers, and make a map where they spawn in a room and they need to drop the flamethrowers to crawl out of a tunnel...
I know you can do it like that, but the problem with that is you have to have played the game before you will get those gamerpics. I wanted to have a selection of modded gamerpics to use on a few profiles that haven't played any games... I can edit the profile directly, but I wanted to choose between them. Anyway, this could be locked now
I've now discovered the gamerpics that come with the 360 actually come tith the 360 itself. They're not on the HDD at all! They're on the 360 somewhere Could someone lock this?
Yeah, the button icons only work for ascii text. And I don't know why, but it didn't seem to work when I tried it in the author... Does anyone know why?
Ever wanted to edit the name, author and description of a Halo 3 usermap, gametype, screenshot or film clip without having to mess around with a hex editor? Now you can, with help of Halo 3 CDE! (Halo 3 Container Detail Editor) Halo 3 CDE will also allow you to add controller button icons into the description of your container file! (Credits to Luxurious Meat for the enums) Screenshots: http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/2823/18569925mi2.png Click the 'Button Enums' button to bring up this screen: http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/8895/64972747bh3.png To add a button icon into the description is simple. You look for the button you want to put in on the screenshot above, and type in the 3 characters that correspond to the icon you want. E.g if I wanted to put the 'Y' button icon in, i would type ';04' where I wanted the icon to appear. Nice and simple Halo 3 CDE also has the ability to re-hash and re-sign, or if you don't want to, you can click 'Just save' and it won't re-hash or re-sign Note: It will only work for Halo 3 usermaps, screenshots, gametypes and film clips. Nothing else. You must have a KV.bin in the same directory as thye program or it will not re-sign anything, and you must keep the 'DevComponents.DotNetBar2.dll' in the same directory as the program or it won't load H3 CDE should be attached to this post... Have fun Halo_3_CDE.zip
Your injected one can't be compressed in any way. Best to open up the origional one in paint, draw over it and save. That way, the gamerpic will be almost in the same format as the origional one and will work. You will also have to mod the small gamerpic too.
They're not in there; some of the ones you unlock are stored in there. I'm looking for the ones that were on the 360 when it was bought so that I can write a program to create custom gamerpics. Then we wouldn't have to pay for them! You can edit the gamerpic that's on your profile directly, but if you ever change it, you can't go back unless you edit your profile again
