I turned on admin validation, even after the accounts are active, the bots give up by then. I also made it so when someone is flagged as a spammer, they have all their posts deleted and the account banned.

The device codenamed Next Generation Portable was announced by Sony today. It is said to include dual analogue sticks, 5 inch OLED capacitive Touchscreen, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. Our friendly neighborhood cash cowGameStop had accidentally listed the device as $999, when no official pricing has even been announced. The device has since been removed from their website. Although the price of $999 is not likely, Sony has expressed that they think consumers would be willing to pay more money for a good device, citing the Kinect as a source. Sony has also stated the NGP will be priced more expensive than the Nintendo 3DS.In other news, Sony Ericsson will be releasing a full-fledged gaming smartphone called the Xperia Play, as well. The Xperia Play is an Android smartphone expected to run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). -

It likely wouldn't make a noticeable impact in console sales, as consumers are brain dead, not only that, developers would most likely pay sony more for increasing their bottom line.

If this is true, this defeats one of the key aspects of console gaming, the fact that you can just pop in the disc and play, without any DRM or installations. The PS3 already has installs, and now it will have serial keys as well. This will also effectively kill the used game market, as well as the rental market as well (for the PS3 anyway). This will also hurt anyone who wants to play the game offline, as they will need to activate the game before hand. No matter how this goes down, it will be a huge loss for consumers. View full story
