You obiously have no idea how fridges work. They draw heat from a closed area and output it into the outer area. Leaving the door open renders the fridge useless.

There will definitely be an sdk for the pc. Microsft isn't publishing anymore, and bungie owns the IP. Bungie supports custom content, and if they could have made an sdk for the pc they would have. But the pc ports were not made by them so they couldn't. The engine Bethesda uses gets worse every release, it sorely needs a rewrite.
