Hey all im looking into installing ram for a laptop, im assuming its ddr or ddr2 but seeing as the laptops different from a Desktop,(which i usually work with) im gonna give it to mah IT teacher, now does anyone know how much it would cost? I currently have 480megs, which sucks HORRIBLY and look to upgrade, to hopefully at least 1 gig, does anyknow how much it would be? BTW: Is there any way to find out what kind of ram (ddr, ddr2 or w.e.) thru software without using a memtest or physically opening my laptop? im on newegg and im seeing fair prices, just a matter of what i got. EDIT EDIT: List some good brands as well. id rather not have this s*** the bed on me virtually.
