Few things, 1. This isn't cheating 2. It COULD potentially get you banned, depends if you add games which have not yet been released onto your profile. If you put games already out on your profile its practically undetectable. 3. There are different types of bans and suspension times, each unique to their cause. 4. Enough said, its pretty safe dependant on which games and when you add them to your profile. +REP if this cleared up some stuff for you.
