What to use to "transfer" with your Xbox 360
iBotPeaches replied to iBotPeaches's topic in Tutorials
Probably should of been in tutorials, but I just got mad at the question being asked that I just added it. -

Also, why are ads part of the argument? Once you get more than 2 posts, your moved to the Members+ group which only has the sidebar ad. I fail to see why adding ads is a piss poor excuse. Since iBotModz doesn't charge anything for any of its uses, I'll send the bill to for now on since you feel working outside of the site should cover it. Renewals for IPB are coming up soon. -
I knew I was forgetting something

I've seen way to many questions of what to buy in order to mod. Here is a quick rundown. There is 4 options you have. 1: Xbox 360 Transfer Cable Scam Microsoft out of getting a Xbox 360 Transfer Cable (If money is rare in your circumstance, try and get one of these) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm 2: xPort Purchase xPort, a 3rd party piece of hardware allowing your Xbox 360 Harddrive to "dock" into a station (If your 360 is quite far away from your computer, I would recommend this one since you can just plug your harddrive into it) http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/XB360-Xport__EF000191.aspx 3: xSata Purchase xSata, a 3rd party piece of hardware that connects between your Xbox 360 and the harddrive. (I would use this one if your 360 is right next to your computer, and you have the money to spend) http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/XB360-XSATA__EF000192.aspx 4: Take apart your HDD This is the most risky, it involves taking apart your 360 Harddrive in order to get to the source SATA drive in which you can use a normal sata cable. (I would do this if your poor, and understand a great deal of how electronics work and how to be safe around them, so you don't fry your harddrive with static electricity) http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/mods/internalize-360-hard-drive.htm Software Xplorer 360 Extreme 2 (If you have a transfer cable use this) XPlorer_360_Extreme_2.rar xPort 2.11 (If you have xPort, use this one to take advantage of labeling) Updated download link: http://us.codejunkies.com/support/article.aspx?article_id=272 Horizon (Costs 25 bucks, but works with all methods. You buy within the program.) http://horizon360.net/download/

The "usb to my computer" is a piece of hardware. You can get one of the 3 of them xSata xPort or a Micosoft Transfer Cable

hey man these topics are from August, which have mostly died down and are pretty old to be responding to. No one really is asking for any recent requests for mods. Thanks for posting though

If you don't feel comfortable working in a skin that is not 100% done then don't switch to it. However, I'm continuing to tweak it daily to fix the other browsers except IE. I've spent an hour or so for about 7 days making this skin from scratch in order to match that skin of the original iBotModz. Its codenamed "Pikmin" in the skin drop down bar because of a secret pikmin in the skin. ^This resolution of that program is absolute crap, so ignore that

A staff topic I think we'll make to pick the next one. I had one submitted to me, but it was 11 minutes. Not something that everyone wanted to watch.

I want to know why there is like 1000 items on the list. It takes like 9 things to make a computer. Power Supply, Case, Motherboard, Processor, Video Card, RAM, Monitor, Mouse & Keyboard, Speakers, OS (if you pay for it lol)

November 23 to November 30. Halo 3 Dual Montage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjuyYzbmU6w (twam has next week with a non-H3 video, I hope)

That is really good and looks identical. Great job

I cleaned installed mine, and then reinstalled all programs. I kept my files at least I don't trust the windows upgrade thingy.

Special offer for people with Halo 3 map and C# knowledge

So we can extract all the goodies and look at them, but have no chance to put them back? I guess that would be fun for maybe 10 minutes. -

Actually browse the site as a guest or normal member (member with no posts), and you'll see all the ads -

The raw injector stuff? That only benefits 1/100 of the halo modding community though -
Then there shouldn't be a problem? lol Use that to modify the maps, assuming you have either xPort xSata or Transfer Cable

Forge will help you mod the maps themselves: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/Xbox-Games-f162/Halo-3-f52/H3-Programs-f120/H3-ProgForge-2x-t16692.html Tutorials for doing that can be found here: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/Xbox-Games-f162/Halo-3-f52/H3-Tutorials-f124/H3-Tutorials-f124.html

I honestly hate the thing, and I don't want to put that on the members. Its soo cheap to have to click link after link just to get to that original link. -
Mouses are something I just can't buy. I have to "try" all of them at the store in order to find the one that I like to grip. That one in the OP picture above looks like its left side is not very easy to grip.

looks like Harmonie from harry potter, trapped under the sea

Since my capture card (DVC 170) doesn't work on 64bit, I'm in the market for another one too. That diamond one looks cool since its very mobile, that would allow me to record quick TV shows or xbox. However that Intensity Pro seems sweet.

Even if you don't trust websites, llama has been in the business since 2003. However, they no longer offer the repair service. You could try the repair kit though. http://secure.llamma.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=73_101&products_id=874
