Mine says that when I drag directly to desktop too. So I just place it in a folder then work from there. Also make sure you have room, that error also pop ups when you have no space left.

How do you then run your modded/custom XEX without a demo/dev kit? I might not be 100% right, but I believe you need either a demo or dev kit to run custom XEX's.

I didn't find any. I can make a file explorer in VB, but that uses .NET. Is there a way to turn .NET off and continue coding?

I use Audacity for recording my voice and putting into montages/videos etc. For editing the audio extremely fancy, I have no clue. Audacity has enough settings to tweak for me.

Have you gotten and unbanned KV.bin? (keyvault file) On the NXE update on November 19. All current released and public KV's were banned. Now you either have to get a private one, make your own, or get some of the leaked public KV's. Then simply delete your old KV.bin in your resigner and replace it with your new one, and it should work fine. The problem is with the resigner, your re-hasher and save editing is fine.

Doesn't run by it self. You drag the save over it, and drop it in the file. It then runs the script.
