I feel as though Steam is beginning to gain a monopoly on the PC gaming market. I personally don't like this, because I don't really like steam (they've screwed me over a couple of times) What do you think?
Thats right! The news has been floating around for a while, but I figured I would re-post it here. Essentially, the company that ported TES IV to PS3 is porting Minecraft to 360 (presumably as an XBLA title). This is expected to happen around when the 1.7 (adventure) update is released. If you don't know what minecraft is, its probably the most addicting game since halo. I wonder how the server thing is gonna work? And if mods will be allowed...? Oh well, I think PC will still be the best platform to play it on, but we'll see
AHCI is the only way that OSX can read your hdds. From the looks of it, your having hard drive issues. Is the hard drive' partition table MBR or GPT? If all else fails, boot with the safe mode flag.
iboot + vanilla OSX dvd = win (http://tonymacx86.bl...ac-os-x-on.html) Also, use verbose boot (-v) so you can see the error, and use safe mode if necessary.
I wouldn't think so, Sager isn't exactly new, if they think they can put that hardware in a laptop, they've probably done lots and lots of testing to ensure they don't pull a Microsoft.
so worth it though... Also, there is another version of this same laptop, but customized by Xotic PC (xoticpc.com) that goes for $9593.00 fully decked out (it has a few more goodies than stock, like a better screen)
I was bored, so I searched around to find the most powerful laptop out there right now. Of course, it has to be custom built. Enter the Sager NP7282-S1: Even stock, this thing is a beast, however, it can be customized to compete with many high end desktop systems. Anyways, here are the specs (after customization): Screen: 17.3' 1080p LED CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-990X Processor Extreme Edition ( 12MB L3 Cache, 3.46GHz, 6.4GT/sec QPI, 6 Cores ) Graphics: Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 485M GPUs (2x2GB memory) Memory: 12GB Triple Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz Storage: 3 600GB Intel 320 Series SATA2 Solid State Disk Drive Optical: 6X BD-R Blu-ray Burner/8X DVD±R/2.4X +DL Super-Multi Drive (also has an upgraded wireless card, TV tuner etc) -- Total cost... ...wait for it.... $8,912.00 USD Ahh, if only I was rich. Although, it would probably have about 10 minutes of battery life.
I hate cell phone service in Canada. We pay more for less generally sums it up. And there isn't any good phone company here, they all suck in their own way.
