some people let things affect them a whole lot more than others. alot of kids are very easyily swayed by seeing somthing on tv. same with adults. why do you think that tv ads that sell junk are so popular. people are easily swayed by stuff like that. the general public feeds off of stuff like that. i dont think nudity is as big of issue as the violence. yes it could get ridiculous with kids yelling "i love *****" but would you rather them pull a gun on you?

Movie ratings should movies get a higher rating because of violence or because of nudity? what do you think the effects would be on kids today if they seen a bunch of guys getting mowed down or kids seeing naked women? do you think it could change violence in kids? ok. so a life for a life. death penalty could possibly solve economy problems. yes i think that if the populations were equal that the amount of killers would be close to equal. that fact that the U.K. has 1/5 of the population makes a world of difference. i am pretty sure peoples opinions here would change to pro death sentence if one of the victims of the murders was there family or a dear friend. by the way i am from canada and we dont have the death penalty either. putting them away in jail makes them live with what they did but i am pretty sure if they have committed more than one murder that they dont care. they dont have enough of a concience to care. and letting them live in a prison is an upgrade than their usual lifestyle

murder, or multiple murders, multiple child molestations, multiple child abuser, child murderer. multiple rapes. what do you think the standard should be? i am pro capital punishment. life in prison is not punishment. half the people that end up in there live better than they would on the outside. and the millions of dollars that taxpayers pay for them to live is not worth it. that money could be going somewhere else for better reasons than keeping a murdering ciminal alive. think of what could happen, the changes that could be made.

the death sentence. do you think that if someone commits a horrendous crime should they be sentenced to death or should they live and spend life in prison? what do you guys think?

there. first debate created in general disscusion. yungbol do what it is you are gonna do. hopefully this works out. and i dont know about the topic i picked but i figured it was something that people would know about and be able to talk about.

Swine Flu An outbreak that has killed more than 100 people in Mexico was caused by a new strain of swine influenza. It is a virus that mutated from pigs and then at some point was transmitted to humans. should we let this flu stop us and alot of people from enjoying life day to day? make people scared to go outside for fear of contracting this virus? or should we stay inside and wait for this thing to be solved? please feel free to post any other ideas about the swine flu. this is a pretty narrow focus on something that is huge so dont be afraid to come out with your own ideas and questions about it.

hmm i was baptised catholic, confirmed lutheran. but really and no offense to anyone but i think christianity and the bible is propaganda. i am not saying that i dont believe in something bigger that created us but i just think that that stuff is propaganda. again sorry if i offended someone but that is just my belief

ok. this is a good idea but it can have bad consequences. like previosly stated it probably will end up in flame wars and grudges will be carried all through the site. but good things can come of it to, more of the uprising issues for the site and between members can be sorted through with all sides being stated quicker than it is now. now all you have is arguements being dragged all over the site and it gets dumb. the debate section can be used for staff bringing certain issues to the members and getting there opinions out there, which in turn might lead to less complaining from certain members, not a guarantee but it might. if there is a sub-mod for this section i would think that he should not be allowed to partake in a debate. his only posts should be warnings. this will keep him from being influenced from flame and grudges. and what if this sub-mod was changed weekly or bi-weekly? keep things fresh. another idea i had is kinda dumb but what if there were daily debate topics about real issues, not just the site ones (like swine flu for example) but really for this thing to work the MEMBERS have to be considerate and dont say the first thing that comes to mind and think about it. try to be reasonable. this could be very succesful but only if the members work at it. and worst comes to worst it ends up being a flop and gets removed. but all in all this is something that should be talked about, that should become a reality even if it is a test period give us members a chance to get our opinions out there in a civilized manner. i think i fit all i wanted to say in there. please consider what i have said.
