Coag was huge enough without the ability to go outside the canyon. Does this mean the map is now huge? Or did I take that too literally?

Too dangerous. Especially with that high end video card, I'd recommend at least 600+. I think you'll be at around 450 with those specs, but I was always taught in school to have at least 200 to spare.
