    Heres what you'll need:


    • CMR Map re-signer
    • DotHalo v1 or v2
    • Smart FTP or Flash FXP
    • Supper PPF
    • Insolence (any version)
    • Entidy 1.3 or any other versoin
    • CH2R
    • coordinate finder
    • wallwalker (I put a link so you can download it here)

    • Hex Workshop

    1. How to make a vehicle respond on top on a weapon

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of your choosing
    • step 3. Now go to your [itmc] or item collection tag
    • step 4. Go to the weapon that you want your vehicle to respond on top of.
    • step 5. Now go over to to your dependencies window. ( if you have dot halo 1 it would be your Dependencies/LoneIDs/Reflexives tag. If you have dot halo v2 it would just be Dependencies.
    • step 6. Now in the Dependencies window simply click whatever is there.
    • step 7. Now in the window go the tag class drop down box.
    • step 8. Now scroll down until you come to your [vehi] tag or vehicle tag
    • step 9. Now once you've chosen it go down to your second drop down box.
    • step 10. Now scroll down until you come to your vehicle of choice!
    • step 11. Save changes
    • step 12. Resign the map
    • step 13. FTP the map and post it at ibotmodz and lostmodz
    2. How to turn on Warthog Lights

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Now go down to the [vehi] or vehicle tag
    • step 4. Now select the warthog tag
    • step 5. Simply in the Tag Editor Window put a check in the headlights box
    • step 6. Save changes
    • step 7. Resign the map
    • step 8. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz or lostmodz

    3. How to close dot halo v1


    • step 1. Open up any old map.
    • step 2. Click on some random tag
    • step 3. In the tag editor put something crazy in one of the slots.
    • step 4. Save changes
    • step 5. It should say an unhandled exception has been made or something like that
    • step 6. Click quit and dot halo is closed

    4. How to make a warthog fly


    Ok you probably know how to do this but I just typed it up anyway

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Now go down to the [vehi] or vehicle tag
    • step 4. Click on the warthog tag (objects/vehicles/warthog/warthog)
    • step 5. Now in the tag editor put a check in the flying box
    • step 6. Save changes
    • step 7. Resign the map
    • step 8. Smart Ftp the map

    5. How to Shoot out Pink Shields on Turf


    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up Turf
    • step 3. Go down to the [weap] or weapon tag
    • step 4. Click on the weapon of choice
    • step 5. Now in your dependencies window click on [proj].
    • step 6. In the dependencies window go to the tag class drop down box.
    • step 7. Scroll down until you come to the [mach] or the machine tag.
    • step 8. Now in the second drop down box scroll down until you come to the gate tag.
    • step 9. Save Changes
    • step 10. Resign the map
    • step 11. Smart FTP the map and post it a either ibotmodz or lostmodz
    6. How to make a weapon shoot out a weapon

    • step 1. Open up dot halov1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Now go to your [weap] or the weapon tag
    • step 4. Click on the weapon of choice.
    • step 5. Now in the dependencies window click on [proj]
    • step 6. Now in the dependencies window click on the tag class class drop down box and click on [weap]
    • step 7. Now in the second drop down box click on the weapon that you want your weapon to shoot out
    • step 8. Resign the map
    • step 9. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz
    7. How to make Waterfalls on Warlock

    you can only do this on Warlock unless you want to drag and drop with insolence

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map Warlock
    • step 3. Go down to the [weap] or weapon tag
    • step 4. Click on the weapon of choice
    • step 5. Now go over to your dependencies window and click on [proj]
    • step 6. Now in the dependencies window go to your tag class drop down box
    • step 7. Scroll down until you come to your [scen] or scenery tag
    • step 8. Now in your second drop down box click on the water stream of your choosing.
    • step 9. Save Changes
    • step 10. Resign the map with CMR map resigner ( you can download it in the Halo modding programs at the website).
    • step 11. Smart FTP and post the mod at both ibotmodz and lostmodz
    8. How to Shoot out cars at Terminal

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up Terminal
    • step 3. Go to your [weap] or weapon tag
    • step 4. Click on the weapon of choice
    • step 5. Now in the dependencies window click on [proj]
    • step 6. Now click on the tag class drop down box in the dependencies window
    • step 7. Now scroll down until you come to the [bloc] or the obstacle tag
    • step 8. Now scroll down to your second drop down box
    • step 9. Keep scrolling down until you come to objects/vehicles/uberchaissis/uberchaissis or something similiar
    • step 10. Click it
    • step 11. Save changes
    • step 12. Resign the map
    • step 13. Now Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz
    9. When you throw a grenade something comes out

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Now go to the [proj] or projectile tag
    • step 4. Click on whatever you want your grenade to throw out
    • step 5. Once you've clicked it scroll up (in the tags window) until you come to the meta offset
    • step 6. Copy it
    • step 7. Now go to the grenade tag of your choice
    • step 8. Now overwrite the grenades meta offset with whatever meta offset that you chose
    • step 9. Resign the map
    • step 10. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz
    10. How to jump high

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go down to the [bipd] or your biped tag
    • step 4. Click on the character of choice
    • step 5. In the tag editor put the jump height to about 15 or 20
    • step 6. Save changes
    • step 7. Resign the map
    • step 8. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz

    11. How to shoot out fire on Elongation


    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up Elognation
    • step 4. Now go down to the [weap] or the weapon tag
    • step 5. Click on the weapon of choice
    • step 6. In the dependencies window click on [proj]
    • step 7. Now go up and change the tag class to the [scen]
    • step 8. Now in the second drop down box click the fire of choice
    • step 9. Save changes
    • step 10. Resign
    • step 11. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz

    12. How to make flying turrets


    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Now go down to the [vehi] or the vehicle tag
    • step 4. Click on the banshee tag
    • step 5. Now copy its meta offset that I mentioned earlier
    • step 6. Go to the turret of choice
    • step 7. Delete the turrets meta offset and place the banshee's one there
    • step 8. Save changes (your not done yet)
    • step 9. In the dependencies window change the [html] (object property) tag from banshee to the turret of choice.
    • step 10. Save changes
    • step 11. Fix encription
    • step 12. Resign
    • step 13. Smart FTP the map and post it at lostmodz and ibotmodz
    13. How to make different lighting fixtures (with just dot halo)

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go down to [ligh] or the light tag
    • step 4. Click on whatever you like to edit the light
    • step 5. In the tag editor put the light intensity to about 100
    • step 6. Save changes
    • step 7. Resign
    • step 8. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz and lostmodz

    14. How to make a specter fly(kind of)

    Ok this is what I mean by sort of: On your screen its a specter, On their screen its a banshee. However you can get in the turret, So its like your flying a specter. Its basically what you do to a flying turret
    • step 1. Open up dot halo 1 orv 2
    • step 2. Open the map of your choosing
    • step 3. Now go down to the [vehi] or vehicle tag.
    • step 4. Click on- objects/vehicles/banshee/banshee/
    • step 5. In your tags window copy the meta offset
    • step 6. Now go down to objects/vehicles/specture/specture
    • step 7. Delete it meta offset.
    • step 8. Now paste the banshee's meta offset there.
    • step 9. Save your changes
    • step 10. Now go over to your dependencies window.
    • step 11. Change the [html] from banshee to specture.
    • step 12. To make it so that you can go in the side seats make the seats in the tag editor 1-4.
    • step 13. I think that then you can go in the side seats.
    • step 14. Save your changes
    • step 15. Close the map
    • step 16. Resign the map with CMR map resigner
    • step 17. SmartFTP or Flash FXP the mod to your xbox and post the mod at lostmodz and ibotmodz

    15. How to make a grenade not explode

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of your choosing
    • step 3. Now go down to the [proj] or the projectile tag
    • step 4. Now go to objects /weapons/grenade/plasma/plasma/.
    • step 5. Now once you've opened up the tag go down to the tag editor.
    • step 6. Now in the bounce distance life box or something similar put it to about 100000.
    16. When you throw a grenade a camo comes out but then it explodes

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of your choosing
    • step 3. Now go to your [eqip] or equipment tag
    • step 4. Go down until you come to your camo tag
    • step 5. Copy its meta offset
    • step 6. Now go down to the [proj] or projectile tag.
    • step 7. Go to the grenade of your choosing
    • step 8. Overwrite the grenade's meta offset
    • step 9. Save changes
    • step 10. Resign the map
    • step 11. Smart FTP the map and post it at lostmodz zeromodz and ibotmodz
    17. How to make a rocket stop in mid air with dot halo v1 only

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 only v1 will not work with v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go to the [weap] or the weapon tag
    • step 5. Go to te rocket launcher tag
    • step 6. Click on [proj] in the dependencies window.
    • step 7. Now click on go to tag
    • step 8. In the tag editor put the final projectile speed to 0 (if you want it to stay in mid air or), 1 (if you want it to be moving slowly).
    • step 9. Save changes
    • step 10. Resign
    • step 11. Smart FTP and post the mod at lostmodz, ibotmodz, and zeromodz
    18. Passenger flying a warthog

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go to the [vehi] or the vehicle tag
    • step 4. Go to the warthog tag
    • step 5. In the tag editor put a check in the flying box
    • step 6. Uncheck the handbrake box
    • step 7. Go to the bottom of the tag in on each seat put 0-5
    • step 8. Save changes
    • step 9. Resign the map
    • step 10. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz,zeromodz, and lostmodz
    19. How to inject a patch in a map ( for beginners that are downloading mods)

    • step 1. Open up PPF o-matic
    • step 2. In the PPF o-matic section click on the disk thing next to the thing that says map file.
    • step 3. Select a clean map from your documents
    • step 4. Now click on the disk next to Patch file
    • step 5. Put the modded (downloaded) patch there
    • step 6. Now resign the map
    • step 7. Smart FTP the map

    20. How to shoot out a spartan


    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go to the [weap] or weapon tag
    • step 4. Click on the weapon of choice
    • step 5. Click on [proj] in the dependencies window
    • step 6. Change the tag class to [bipd] or biped tag
    • step 7. Choose the character of choice
    • step 8. Save changes
    • step 8. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, lostmodz, and zeromodz
    21. How to inject a waterfall to map

    • step 1. Open up insolence
    • step 2. Open up the warlock map
    • step 3. Open up the [scen] or the scenery tag
    • step 4. Find the tag (effects) scenariosmultiwarlockwater_stream_1
    • step 5. Drag it into your map and fnish the relinking process
    • step 6. Go back to the Warlock map and in the scenery tag ([scen]) take scenariosmultiwarlockwater_stream_1_ hit it and drag it from Warlock to your map
    • step 7. Fix encryption and close the map
    • step 8. Open up entity now
    • step 9. Go to the [itmc] tag
    • step 10. Duplicate a weapon
    • step 11. Now go to your [scer] tag
    • step 12. Now right click your mouse and hit ident
    • step 13. Then replace one of the [itmc]s on the map. (Or you can right click on Netgame Equipment and clone a chunk for your waterfall. then right click indents, and it should be the very last itmc, replace that with your duplicated itmc.)
    • step 15. Now go to the [sbsp] tag
    • step 16. Click tools
    • step 17. Now go to the raw editor
    • step 18. When the window comes up take the weapon that you duplicated and swap it where you want it to be
    • step 19. After you have placed it (as a weapon) go to the [itmc] tag again and right click and change to indents, click item and right click and this time hit swap, and then find the [scnr] tag in the box it opens and the find your effectsscenariosmultiwarlockwater_stream_1 . (it may seem thin but you can spawn 2 next to each other making it wider and more like a waterfall)
    • step 20. Now click the save box
    • step 21. Resign the map
    • step 22. Smart FTP and post the mod at zeromodz, ibotmodz, and lostmodz

    22. How to make a turret hover


    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go down to the vehicle tag
    • step 4. Now select the ghost
    • step 5. Copy the meta offset in the tags window
    • step 6. Now go to the turret of your personal choice
    • step 7. Overwrite the turrets meta offset
    • step 8. Save changes
    • step 8. Now in the dependencies window change the [html] tag from a ghost to a the turret that you chose
    • step 9. Save Changes
    • step 10. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, lostmodz, and zeromodz
    23. How to take out fog on backwash

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 r v2
    • step 2. Open up dot halo
    • step 3. [fog] or fog tag

    • step 5. Go to the dependencies window and null out the swamp_fog_0 tag

    24. How to shoot a flying spartan

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice

    • step 5. In the dependencies window click on [proj] or the projectile tag
    • step 6. Change the tag class to [bipd] or biped
    • step 7. Select Master chief mp. or the one that says mp. at the end

    25. How to change weapon sounds


    • step 1. Open up the map of choice in CH2R
    • step 2. Then go to sounds
    • step 3. Now go to weapons
    • step 4. Now pick the weapon of choice (I'll use a magnum as an example)
    • step 5. Click on magnum fire or something similar
    • step 6. Now right click and and click swap ( on the small menu thing)
    • step 7. Close the box
    • step 8. Resign the map
    • step 9. Smart FTP and post the mod here and at lostmodz
    26. How to make visible projectiles

    • step 1. Open up Insolence
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go down to the weapon tag
    • step 4. Choose a weapon that is a plasma pistol or rocket launcher
    • step 5. Close insolence and open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 6. Now open up the map that you opened up in insolence
    • step 7. Now go to the [weap] or the weapon tag
    • step 8. Go down to the duplicated weapon (that you chose)
    • step 9. Copy the duplicated weapons meta offset
    • step 10. Now if you paste the meta offset on a battle rifle and other people can see the projectiles
    • step 11. Now save changes
    • step 12. Resign the map
    • step 13. SmartFTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, lostmodz, and zeromodz
    27. When you punch the ground you go high in the air

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice (in this example we will use relic .map)
    • step 3. Go to the [jpt] or the damage effect tag
    • step 5. Now go to stike_melee_response
    • step 6. In the tag put the force to about 40, 50, or 60
    • step 7. Now save changes
    • step 8. Resign the map with CMR Map resigner
    • step 9. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, lostmodz, and zeromodz
    28. How to take the scope of the Battle Rifle

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of you choice
    • step 3. Go to your mode tag
    • step 4. Go to your objects/weapons/battle_rifle/fp_battle rifle/fp_battle_rifle
    • step 5. null out the scope and the lens
    • step 6. Save changes
    • step 7. Resign
    • step 8. FTP it and post it at ibotmodz, lostmodz and zeromodz P.S ZeRo GrAv1tY helped me with this tutorial
    29. How to inject fire to a map

    • step 1. Open up insolence
    • step 2.Open a map that has fire on it (in the demonstration I'll use elongation).
    • step 3. Scroll down until you come to the [scen] or the scenery tag
    • step 4. Click on the fire of choice
    • step 5. Now drag the fire from elongation to the map that doesn't have fire.
    • step 6. When your done go to the [itmc] or item collection tag
    • step 7. Right click on anything
    • step 8. In the little menu select duplicate
    • step 9. Now close up insolence
    • step 10. Open up dot halo v1 or v2 now
    • step 11. Now open up the map that you dragged fire onto
    • step 12. Now go to the [itmc] or item collection tag
    • step 13. Select your thing that you duplicated
    • step 14. Now cange its dependencies to [scen]
    • step 15. Go to the [scnr] tag and once it loads scroll over to the itmc dependencies
    • step 16. Change as many of them as you want to your duplicated itmc(the more you change the more fires there will be) I suggest you change the grenades to it
    • step 17. Close your map
    • step 18. Now open up the coordinate finder
    • step 19. Select a simple coordinate
    • step 20. Scroll down in the placer until you find your duplicated item
    • step 21. Paste the coordinates into the placer and you have to guess the z(try looking at weapons that are near it to help you make a better guess)
    • step 22. Save changes
    • step 23. Fix encryption
    • step 24. Resign the map
    • step 25. SmartFTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, lostmodz, and zeromodz
    30. Other people flying an overshield

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go down to the [vehi] or vehicle tag
    • step 4. Select the banshee
    • step 5. Now copy the meta offset
    • step 6. Now go to the [eqip] or the equipment tag
    • step 7. Select the overshield tag
    • step 8. Now paste the banshee's meta offset replacing the overshield's meta offset
    • step 9. Now in the dependencies window change the [html] tag from banshee to overshield
    • step 10. If you want to be able to fly it I think that you 'll have to add 2 more seats (I'm not totally sure though)
    • step 11. Save changes
    • step 12. Resign the map
    • step 13. Smart FTP and post the mod at ibotmodz, and lostmodz

    31. How to make other people fly cars ( and you ) on Terminal


    ( Copied and pasted some small thing and rewrote some of it in my own words)

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up terminal
    • step 3. Go to the [vehi] or vehicle tag
    • step 4. Select the banshee
    • step 5. Copy the meta offset
    • step 6. Now go to the [bloc] or obstacle tag
    • step 7. Go to objects/civillian/unberchaisis/unberchaisis or something similiar
    • step 8. Overwrite it meta offset
    • step 9. Now in the dependencies window change the [html] (first tag) from banshee to uberchaissis
    Now its time to add seats

    • step 10.Now the first thing you have to do it go to the <weap> tag, and open up the sentinel_agressor. Go to the Dependencies Swapper, and change the <hlmt> tag (objectsweaponssupport_lowsentinel_gunsentinel_gun) to whatever model you want to drive.
    • step 11. Now open the [vehi] tag and open the vehicle that you want to swap to with. Now choose if you want it fly, choose ghost if you want it to have a boost, or choose warthog if you want more than one person in it at a time. Open up the dependency swapper and change the <weap> there (either banshee_gun, ghost_gun, or warthog horn) to the Sentinel Beam.
    • step 12. Now finally, open up the <mode> tag and scroll down until you find a file path in there that begins with [objects/vehicles/*the vehicle you just edited*]. Open every file that belongs to that vehicle in the Dependency editor and Null Out whatever you see it there.
    • step 13. For the or , there are only four file paths that you have to open and then Null out, but for the warthog there is about ten.
    • step 14. Then do the same thing for the shad tag, the lens tag, and the cont tag.
    • step 15. What this does it make every part of the vehicle invisible except for the weapon. And of course, the weapon is a sentinel beam with a different skin that everybody in the game can see.
    • step 16. Save changes
    • step 17. Resign and Smart FTP

    32. How to be invincible or make other things invincible

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2
    • step 2. Open up the map of choice
    • step 3. Go to the [html] or object property tag
    • step 4. Go to the character or thing that you want to make invincible
    • step 5. In the tag editor put a check in the invulnerability box
    • step 6. Resign the map
    • step 7. Smart FTP and post the mod at lostmodz, and ibotmodz
    33. How to make containment gates

    • step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2

    • step 4. Select the rocket launcher tag
    • step 5. Now in the Dependencies/LoneIDs/Reflexives window

    37. How to Smart FTP ( and the basics)

    Ok Smart FTP is the system that you use to put your modz on. Smart FTP was meant for a file manager, but we can use it for putting our modz on too. Now open it up with your xbox console on. Now if someone told you how to mod (or get modz) this is how work it. Now once you've opened Smart FTP, go to TDATA. Now go down to 4d000064 or something close to that. Now open up the file. Finally if you've chosen Terminal (to put on) go to file 3. Now you should see Terminal and another map up top. Now if you want to put on a different map like elongation you go to another file with the map in it.

    Now to FTP your mod, make sure that you have a resigned and modified map. Now open up your documents while you have smart FTP open. Make the documents window really small. Now drag your map, and if it asks you transfer, and something that starts with a q, however just click transfer if it does that. Also after a while FTPing, it might say overwrite, just click it and you're done.

    38. How CMR, map resign (for beginners)

    • step 1. Open up Insolence
    • step 2. Open up a map that has the weather that you want but you it to be in another map

    • step 4. Now its time to drag and drop, drag scenariosmultilockoutlockout to relic.
    • (just to let you know, it'll take a while)
    • step 5. Okay now it is time to replace relic weather, with lockout weather, now open up the [scnr] tag in relic, and now open up the refliexive about weather

    67. How change weapon names

    • step 1. Open up Hex Workshop
    • step 2. Once its done loading click file, and on the little menu that appears click open map
    • step 3. Now open the map that you wish to edit
    • step 4. Once the maps open your going to hit these two keys at the same time Ctrl+F, (its a shortcut to the find branch of the program).
    • step 5. Now a window should pop up, make sure type=Text String and for options only the following should be checked off, "find all instances" and "ASCII string" and for direction it should be down
    • step 6. You will notice that I didn't mention the value box, that's because you type that in value means the word your looking for ex. shotgun
    • step 7. Now after you've typed in the word that you want to change, click on the box that says "ok"
    • step 8. After clicking ok you'll notice a bunch of numbers pop up in the bottom right ex.00000011.
    • step 9. Keep on clicking the 0000 numbers until you find the text you want to edit(when clicking the numbers the text is highlighted in the window on the top right)
    • step 10. Once you find the text you wish to edit whatever you change it to say has to be the same length or shorter however if its shorter you cant delete anything you must replace it with the space button so it goes blank.
    • step 11. Then once the changes are made just press file save and when it asks you if you wish to make a backup press no.
    • step 12. Save changes

    70. Basics on dot halo

    Dot halo is a program that you use to use to make your own personal mods. You can even post your modz if you want to. I wrote some things from my website that I thought that I might make you like to post. Just to let you know, I wrote it. So read this its very important.:

    Now here is the basics on making modz:

    Now you'll need dot halo, the program that you use to make your modz

    Now once its open and ready simply click open map . Now it should open up your documents, or your maps. With the maps open choose the one of choice. Now to change what the weapon does go to the [weap] tag, or the projectile tag.

    Now on the left click on the small box with a very small cross in it. Now it should open up the tag and you should see a bunch of words. Now when it says objects/weapons/pistol/plasma_pistol/pistol_pistol. That is the plasma pistol tag. Now you should be familiar on choosing the tags. Now if you want to change what the plasma pistol shoots out do over to the Dependencies/LoneIDs/Reflexives window, or the window with a lot of things that you can click on. Now click on [proj]. Now if you want a plasma pistol to shoot out a rocket go to the drop down box that is right under the tag class drop down box. Now scroll down to the rocket tag. Now save changes.

    If you want to make your weapon shoot out a different thing (like a pink shield on turf) look at the first drop down box. That drop down box is called the tag class drop down box. Now change it from [proj] to [mach]. Now click on pink shield.
