Remember april fools last year? When bungie claimed they were making a chess game mode for reach?
Bungie does, which is why they released an official chess variant to the community.

It appears that it utilizes bump possession, and does not have a checkmate thus forcing players to rely on the honor system for certain aspects of the game.

lol yeah. Lets a play a glitchy version of chess that doesn't even know if you are in check or not instead of just pulling out a board and playing it in real life....

Oh btw, there's an overall time limit, so if you dont finish in 10 minutes, it a tie. :thumbdown:

I've played it 3 times and it ends in a tie cuz of the stupid time limit.

You can edit it like any other variant. It knows check, but not checkmate.

pawns cant move acroos the board, it has a system in place to detect what pieces can move. Im talking from experience btw.

yeah they can. Those guys that move one space at a time forward. I played a game that was glitching horribly.

I played several times with different people, ran fine.

maybe its just my connection or something but I swear it was glitchy for me. I'd move to a spot, then when I went back to monitor, my piece wasn't in the same space I left him in...
