i've never run in sli so i had no idea. seems like a pretty big flaw... they really ought to add it

lol, I had moved on, I meant on my laptop. OSX doesn't like my screen, so I have to use overrides :/
But. QE/CI on an Mobility 5650, and almost everything working 100%
Only two major problems are with the battery detection and audio (which makes a really high pitched sound all the time :()

How does oblivion run on win 7?

For me, it runs fine (7 64 bit), but some people have said they had issues with it not running at all.

nah man. since they experience time at a slower rate than us, its like overclocking a computer and multiplying your ghz by 4. :p

meh too easy, like I said, only noobs do it that way ;)

Yeah, you really do need a fan controller with these, unless you keep your PC in another room :p

#128883 Scythe Ultra Kaze Fan review

Posted by Quinn on 16 April 2011 - 01:20 PM in Computers

You may have seen my recent status saying that I bought 8 new fans. Well, they came a few days back and I figured I would do a quick write up for them, hopefully someone finds this post useful.

    Pros:
These fans push 133.6 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), which is a pretty respectable number for a 120mm fan. Even when slowed down by a fan controller to ~50%, they are more powerful than the stock fans in my case (Antec DF-85). Relatively cheap for such a powerful fan. Comes with its own screws and molex adapter.

    Cons:
Its thick. Very thick for a 120mm fan, being 38mm. When they are on full, they are very, very loud. It was almost unbearable for me, and I have 2 GTX 480s (very loud cards when the fan ramps up). Because of their thickness, I had to do some DUI work to my case.

    Conclusion:
The Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm fan is a very powerful fan, more than capable of keeping most high end systems cool. However, because of its noise, a fan controller is highly recommended (thank god I have one). The thickness is an issue in some computer cases, so make sure you measure to make sure you have enough room. Overall, they are great fans, but know what you are buying. I'll add some pictures later on.

    #129010 Router overclock help

Posted by Quinn on 23 April 2011 - 08:59 AM in General Discussion

Im having trouble finding a compatable firmware, dd-wrt supports my D-link dir615 v1,2,3 I have version 4 which is the latest I think so I don't want to flash d3 firmware incase I brick it.
Also there will be 5 antennas and I will bump up the power to them to full so I know there will be alot of heat on my project.

If it doesn't specify your router, don't use it. Your best bet would be to post on the DD-WRT forums about it.

TX Power is more important for boosting the signal.

I run DD-WRT on my router (Linksys WRT300N), and it's features are far better than stock. Mine is also overclocked some, but truly I noticed very little heat difference. I'm not sure though what you're asking for help with? You don't know which firmware to choose? Or you failed to properly flash it and now it's bricked?

quite frankly it all seems pointless to me.

Greater range, better signal quality and the ability to handle multiple computers without any slowdowns seems pointless to you?

Halo but with massive battles. 100v100. tanks, pelicans, phantoms, hogs. The kind of battles you have in halo wars but from a first person aspect only. :unworthy:

Battlefield with mods? And on PC, because those pussy consoles can't handle that many players ;)

    YES

    I concur.
