My friend sent his in without rrod and they sent it back, you can easilty give you xbox rrod just wrap it in a blanket and leave it on for a couple hours i doubt they would do anything about the xbox original mics but you can try

Pretty much the best thing you can do is water cool an xbox, it cost about 200 bucks though, i might do it to mine when i get enough money Or you can x-clamp it, it works pretty good, i have had one console work for more then a year.
