Mini Update The server looks fine from the outside, but the disadvantage of a free control panel is that is flat out sucks. log_rotate is failing miserably and sendmail is blowing up from the inside out. I think I'm going to fork out some money for cPanel. Our security is probably compromised running the software I am now. Today and tomorrow will be iffy loading wise, but then we will be solid. The good part is that DNSes take 48-72 hours to fully propagate so some members who are still at the old IP, will miss all of this.

I guess I thought people would have a problem with this. That apparently was too easy.

Welcome to the semi new iBotModz, I still have lots to do relating to the news system and tweaking ads and stuff to make sure they function properly. I still also have to verify all the usergroups to make sure they have access to where they do, and no access to where they shouldn't The forum arrangement could use some work, so I'm open for suggestions. Gears of War 3 has announced the use of dedicated servers on its next major game. Those who played Gears 2 can understand the vast amount of latency that ruined one of the best games of the year. kk, since I'm back online. Plan for this weekend, just working on a few tweaks with the Wii section, and some tiny skin changes.

I don't know. After I ran a combination of Bootrec /fixboot and bootcfg /default {NTLDR} it repaired the installs, then the repair disk detected it. Thus, I made progress.

The repair disk did not find any windows installs, so it had nothing to repair

My 1tb and system drive are both mirror-ed with identical drives. However, my bootloader(s)---(ers) all got screwed over, because even if I disconnected pair A, pair B would not boot, and vice versa.

It was a good 36 hours of hell. I never knew how much I depended on my computer, which might be quite sad. Its back up and running with only tiny problems though.

Good to see one of the original members come back for a visit.

The site will be taking on a different direction. Our main aspect will no longer be Halo or Xbox. We will be spreading across all consoles in hopes to spread our member base. This poses an issue though, as we will have close to 0 content in both PS3 and Wii forums. We can copy and paste content from other sources, but I'd rather not. This leads me to asking the community to post anything made by yourself in such forums. This will help to create original content and place us better on various search engines. We also will have a new "News" system which allows us to participate in gaming news discussions, much like the system used on various sites like se7ensins, tech game and xboxmb. No, the stories will not be copied from those sources. We will find our own interesting and funny stories. You may not like the changes, but you can give opinions once it has been changed. Its difficult to get any serious ideas or feedback, so I've decided to change what I think needed to be changed and wait for the feedback after-wards. Onto the other details. If you were unaware we have been on fattwam's server the past 4 months. We've been running the site off of it, and it is just not right. I plan on moving the site to a small VPS no more than 25/month.
