I deleted the ms dash off my c-drive. I am not really that upset I killed my xbox. Today I was bored and took it apart, now I have the hdd just sitting here kind of useless.

All I want to know is if I install the original xbox hard drive on my computer then simply add the ms dash back on, will it work for my xbox or not?

Ever have those moments when you do something incredibly stupid and you dont know what compeled you to do it? Well I had one of those.

I Deleted my Microsoft Dashboard on my xbox (on C-drive). I was under the impression that my own dashbored (on the E-drive) didn't need it for anything. Anywho... Now I have error 13 whenever i start my xbox.

I read the trouble section and it says "Besides that, just use a good installation disc and all is fine. Use a 2.6 slayer or something similar"

Where could I find one of these disks? I have never heard of 2.6 Slayer. Could somebody give me a link to download it?

Also, Can i still connect my xbox to my computer via crossover cables and just restore the files or do i have to use an installation disc?

Hey, I used to mod and was thinking about starting again. Is there anything that is new and totally awesome or do people still use most of the same programs and applications?
