Ok if you have read my last topic you will know what is happening.

MS said they would fix the red ring for free but I have to pay to fix the problem that is causeing it to freeze, which is like $178 (not even sure if the American phone operator told me the cost in AUD, so it could have been about $300), so I decided to just buy an arcade for like $220.

The thing is I have never had an acrade and I don't know what comes with it.

So I would like to know the pros and the cons of the arcade compared to the pro console.

I already have all the accessories I need, so I don't care about that fact.

I heard that when the arcade first came out it doesn't have backwards compatability, is that still the fact?

Can I still pay all my xbox live games on it and go on line like I normally would?

    Anything else I should know?

It's basically the same as a Pro, only it doesn't come with the Hard Drive.

If you compare the Price of the Arcade to the Pro, it's a 100$ US difference (A Hard Drive cost).

I'm not sure about the backwards compatibility thing, but yes you can still play all your games. For arcade games, as long as the account you use re-downloads the arcades, you can play them Full Version.

If you need any more info, just ask.

PS: You can buy the Arcade bundle for a price smaller than a 60GB HDD, it comes with a 20GB HDD (or 60GB), 3 month, headset and something else! :D

I think the only other difference is the disk tray's covering its white instead of chrome. (i highly doubt you care about this) also the new arcade systems come with internal memory as i previously stated in the other topic.

The arcade console also comes with 4 arcade games.

Otherwise it just has a new chipset and I don't think it uses X clamp. It just over all will last longer.

    I'm getting my arcade tomorrow.

It has all the stuff that normally comes with arcade, except it also comes with GH3, which I already have.

Costing me $300 AUD which is $204.48 USD.

If your going to your 360 in one hour it would be nearly 12PM 24th Wensday here, meaning it would be about 8-10PM 23rd Tuesday where you are.

In Canada you get everything for free. It's great here.

But seriously, the US is expensive. Right now I'm getting along nicely with that 1-1 exchange rate of cash, works great when buying expensive items in CAN currency lmao...
