Just look at how bungie varies their weapons. They have one weapon for each catagory for each humanity and covenant. Meaning you have 2 medium-ranged semi-automatic rifles, 2 automatic rifles, 2 pistols, 2 shotguns, 2 sniper-rifles, 2 rocket-launchers, and 2 SMG-type weapons (SMG and needler). Now the way Shot is saying is that bungie added a whole new semi-automatic rifle, similar to the battle-rifle, but different enough to be it's own type. I could see a slightly-modified battle-rifle in the game, but it would still be the battle rifle. And since when did bungie come up with technical IDs for their weapons?

Bungie hasn't released any new info about Odst in a while (due to the mythic map pack).

Indeed but in the Exeptence Speech for winning Game of the year we saw bots in the backround so the community thought bungie was going to add AI into MP.
Just like this Trailer we do not no for sure untill bungie anounces it.

The smg is going to be in the game... they talked about it on bungie.net

Silenced weapons sound sick since everyone know I am a sneaky ninja. Also like what weapons can the make silenced seriously. I know sniper, br, and magnum could be made in to silenced weapons, but what else. I don't think we have silenced rockets.

I really think that ODST is going to be a areal big hit just like halo 1 2 and 3 were all big hits but halo wars was a little bit of a drop but its still pretty cool

No its the exact same as halo 3, but the new maps are suppose to be on the disk.
