Do you think that we should release everything(maps, resigners, hashes) That way modding can become greater like it was in halo 2?

i dont think so. if we did that wouldnt it just make it easier to hack xbox live its self? like no more paid subsriptions, free micro points, all achivments. that would just kinda ruin it all dont you think? i could be wrong but that what i would think would happen.

i think that it should not get directly release to the public because there would be all the noobs that would cheat in matchmaking and change everything on their xboxlive profile , but i wish there it was handled better. like if there was a way people make the mods then someone resigns them the only problems about that is that there would be a very high demand for resigning and would be a lot of work.

but in the end no matter what , it will be released earthier by accident or on purpose.

Well ok I see your point but, I used to only play C**k of duty4 until halo 3 modding came in. Like alot of others. Bungie should be happy to have mods on halo 3 because everyone comes on to play them.

well it seems stupid that mods made months ago are still not released. when someone makes a mod they should release it but releasing information that could ruin the game is bad. Bungie is benefiting from modz but if we don't make better modz w/ atleast some replay value what going to keep people playing mods and therefore h3.

alright my final thought on this is...

okay, seriously what modding should be for is for forge modding only.
and if you noticed the only mods that came out are for forge varients that have been changed.
in no way will this comprimise halo 3 MM.

i believe with mods for h3 will bring back all those people who were dissapointed with h3 (like me)

i beat campaign in about 4 hours on normal.
then went back and beat the last level on legendary to see the crappy secret ending.
    and i quit playing.
call of duty has 10x more of a addicting multiplayer than h3 does.

but when i started seeing h3 mods. i stopped CoD4 alltogether.
i think bungie should recognize this.
and if they were smart they could come out with their own type of h3 modding software.
yes forge is a great thing, but it has so many limitations.

in no way is h3 modding comprimising the fact that ppl have to pay for xbl subscriptions or M$ points.
those are LIVE resigners. not .con resigners/hashers.

in no way can h3 modding be implemented into MM.
so people who are keeping the mods/resigners/hashers to themselves are only doing it bc they want to get popular.
anyone who gets on this site and shows that they can make mods is only doing it for the fame.
if they were truely only doing it for themselves they wouldn't have bothered getting on the site and showing off what they have.

right now h3 modding is a popularity contest... and its childish.
if you really want halo 3 modding to become as great as halo 2 modding was... release everything.
we should be collaborating on making mods... not keeping them to ourselves.

i respect peoples wish of not ruining xbox live by releasing these tools, but halo is the best game to mod and i wish the tools wud be released but also i wish there was a way to cap the limits and make it just for halo3 nothing else, so it would only create custom game mods not profile mods

Everyone agrees with that, and stop quoting huge posts it looks bad.

Sadly Bungie is payed to control modding. In halo2, they couldn't control it. Thats why the banhammer became stronger, but they aren't banning now because they can adapt and change it. Yet they don't get half there users come from modding groups.

I belive yes it should be all released it will most likely just end up leaked anyway so whats the point of hording it. People should be able to mod as much as they want before bungie ends up fixing it. Cause when that happens no one will have any fun at all.

So, what was the point of this thread? You already know the answer. Most people wants the resigner to be released.
