Alright on my computer im kinda confused about my video memory. Here's a pic of my comps video card attributes:

Honestly, 64mb of video ram, thats insane. It says that theres 287mb of graphics ram, can i put more ram just dedicated to my video card. Also I'm on a laptop and i can't upgrade the card itself, but i know how to get to it, so if i have to physically add ram i will, because i really can't do anything with this card. Its not even funny.

ok heres a little tut 2 follow.

    1) change your colours to 32bit... 16bit was outdated at windows 98...that was 24bit
    2) boot your laptop and tap whatever button is required to access your bios
    3) find your graphics settings, could be under "chipset" or "on chip ATA" or a couple of other places... just search
    4) find your "shared graphics memory" settings
    5) increase it by the ammout you require - beware that it takes it from your ram...so it will improve your graphics performance but it will decrease overall speed
    6) exit and save settings

now wen ur bak on vista check it n make sure.

btw, i got a new graphics card 2day =p check this beastPosted Image

overclocked like a bitch as well =P runs like a scolded nun

Thanks ill try it tonight. The only thing is, is that my comp only has 1gb of ram and once i tried taking out ram and putting it back in, and i accidently booted it with only 512bm of ram, and i sware i waited over 3 minutes just for bootup. I'll dedicate at least 128 more mb, because Halo 2 requires 128mb.

halo 2 wont play. i have an intel core 2 quad, 4gb ddr2 ram, and a 1gb graphics card an i can still only manage medium settings without any frameyness. trust me without a dedicated graphics card and at least 2gb ram it wont even consider it

it looks like your running vista, if your only on a gig of ram, be careful you still have enough to run the OS, quite frankly, i think its silly to run vista on anything under 2 GB. Though if you want to play the games, i s'pose you need to. You could always upgrade to a grphics card.
