    I see people saying "Download is file to say thanks".

    Why?

    They want you to download the file to say "thanks" because then that person gets rapidshare points which can be used for something.

    if you download a rapidshare file as a free user, the person who uploaded the file gets 'rapidpoints' or their premium account extended, or something along the lines of that, but Im 100% sure thats the reason, I just don't know the reward.

    If you have a Collectors account on Rapidshare, and someone downloads a file over 5mb off your account you get rapidpoints which can be put towards a premium account.
