and check the 'wireless settings' and make sure the MAC adresses of your laptop and 360 are unblocked, or look for something along the lines of 'open broadcast' so any wireless device can connect.

Well you can make a list of 'allowed' or 'not allowed' in netgears, and it's by MAC addresses.just to let you know I have a lynksis, and isn't mac address only used if it is directly connected

Do a better job of resetting then.even with trend off I can't connect to 192.168.1.1 AND I can't setup the router, in the setup wizard it says cannot connect to router, try resetting it to factory settings. If I reset nothing happens
I had to hold my reset button for 10 seconds, unplug it.
Hold for 30 seconds while it's unplugged
plug in, hold for 15 seconds while it's power cycling

Mine was FUBAR from a 12 year old tampering with settings.ok I'll try that, what was your problem ?
