Decatur Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 (edited) So in my shop there are 4 rooms, a theory room (classroom) A networking room, a PC room and a workshop. My teacher sat down in the PC room to print off a worksheet, and when he logged on his account (privelaged user) and still couldnt access his flash drive, so I was bored, sat next to him, plugged mine in and found a simple bypass method. 1)Plug in your flashdrive and figure out your drive letter (ex E:/)2)Go to start -> all programs -> accessories -> notepad3)Type this code in the notepad (your drive letter here):/, so it would look like E:/ (note this will work to explore any drive, ex C:/, T:/ etc)4)Save as *Flashdrive.bat* the .BAT IS VERY IMPORTANT and save somewhere simple like the desktop5)Click the new file, and bam you can explore your drive. I pissed off TeleCom when I did this, almost got in trouble but my teacher vouched I was helping him. Edited December 16, 2008 by Fatal Error

SmokiestGrunl Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Thanks, my school is thinking about stopping USB activity (which I really don't think they will) but now I have a way around it if they do .
Decatur Posted December 16, 2008 Author Report Posted December 16, 2008 Welcome all, they even did this in the networking room, and my teacher left for 15 minutes so I had 4 kids go to all the computers in the networking room, make this file, and I went around copying Halo CE from my flash to the PC and they were following me putting it into the thawspace Real teamwork right thurr. Were making a LAN tommorowz

Mcmodder♥ Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 i dont really understand why would you need this ????
Decatur Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 i dont really understand why would you need this ????Because at my school they have stopped all USB activity since a hacking last year, and say you need to print out a project, but you don't want to ask a teacher for help, you could do this. Not rocket scientist, read the thread title. 'Can't access your flash drive @ school?'
gruntmods Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 cant get it to work, not that i need it but still want to try.
Decatur Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 cant get it to work, not that i need it but still want to try.You probably have a different drive letter, I know at my school, all of them are 'E'. Just open my computer and it should say your drive letter next to removable device.
