What are the benefits of having dual boot or linux?

what exactly does it do for you?

Its just the freedom of having another OS IMO.

 

I just get bored of Windows and I use Linux when browsing the internet because nobody makes virus's for that OS.

It depends if you Dualboot, you can have 2 OS's, you just need a not shitty HDD.

 

Or you could just delete your current partition and replace with a new one w/ a new OS.

 

What Linux do you want? Redhat? SUSE? Ubuntu?

 

I use Ubuntu and I like it but Peaches prefers SUSE.

Ask someone else for dualbooting, I just delete everything off of a PC.

How big is your HD?

 

Dual booting requires a 3rd party BIOS add-on that you can just switch on turn on, weather you would like Windows or SUSE. However, messing with these things could wreck your hard-drive. If your not careful.

Oh alright. And i have a question on dual booting if anyone could answer it i would appreciate it very much, I have two harddrives in my pc, could i put another OS on my extra harddrive and run it when i need it?
