wreithy Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Hey again so i have connected my laptop to my TV via HDMI no problems, and the display is lovely and crisp however, the audio is only coming from my laptop, and i have tweaked a few settings on my laptop (Dell inspiron 1525) yet no audio through tv any suggestions? This would be really helpful to play D/Led films on my tv without burning to disc thanks again
SmokiestGrunl Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 First things first, are the audio cords plugged in correctly?
wreithy Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Posted December 13, 2008 No its just the HDMI lead plugged in because HDMI supports audio
iBotPeaches Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 I run from HDMI too. That happened to me since I run creative video card.I was directed to go to custom settings, and turn the settings from 2.1 sound system, to internal sound. And it worked fine.
wreithy Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Posted December 13, 2008 custom settings? is that somewhere on the CP? because i cant find it
iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 What type of sound card do you have? Or if you don't have a sound card, and its internally built into your mobo, what type of mobo?
wreithy Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 Intel 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller
iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 k, I'm eating. After that let me do a little research and see.
iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Can I get a screenshot of your sound config? Like the thing that pop ups when you try and open your sound card config. It should either be a tiny icon in dock, or in program files.

iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Click "Properties" on the high definition device, and please take a screenshot of that.
wreithy Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e35/roadkill132/soundprops.jpg
iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 OKay, didn't see it. However, just look around from where you pick either Stereo or Mono. And try both of those to see if that works
wreithy Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 Thanks for the help peaches i will try that and repost results
