Fable 2 Modding Problems

i used to be able to mod fable 2 hero saves easy, was just simple hex editing, but recently whenever i mod anything on any of my saves and then rehash/resign and put it back on it wont work, says its corrupted...ive tried just taking the save off the HDD, not editing it at all, and just rehashing/resigning and it still comes up as corrupt, ive tried changing the rehasher/resigner i use and it doesnt make any difference (yes i am using an unbanned kv and yes all the rehashers and resigners im trying, work on other CON files) i cant figure out whats going wrong, and its only for this game, ive pretty much cut it up to being a rehasher or a resigner problem but i dont see why that would be an issue...

Have you gotten and unbanned KV.bin? (keyvault file)

 

On the NXE update on November 19. All current released and public KV's were banned. Now you either have to get a private one, make your own, or get some of the leaked public KV's. Then simply delete your old KV.bin in your resigner and replace it with your new one, and it should work fine. The problem is with the resigner, your re-hasher and save editing is fine.

no, its not the kv, im not an idiot, i know about the update and stuff, i bought the superaisons/skatezero one and used that, and somehow it still wont work, ive used it with diff files and it still works, its just this one game, and ive tried changing the resigner/keyvault and rehasher i use, doesnt help, i cant think of any reason why it wouldnt be working, but trust me it is not the keyvault

Okay then maybe your not putting the IDs of the account your wishing to load the save from

ok, im testing different stuff and heres what ive found, none of the resigners or the unbanned keyvaults work on the profile, i doubt its the rehasher seeing as that wouldnt change, i definitely have the correct IDs and it doesnt work on any of the games. can someone check to see if the keyvaults people have been releasing lately in the forums have been banned? i just want someone to extract some old map from their HDD, rehash and resign with any of those keyvaults (i tested them all and none of them worked for me) and then tell me the result. has my HDD gone mental or is just that they finally banned all the released keyvaults? ok, i realise that this is a double post and i am bumping the topic, but i really need help with this, i cant think of any reason why it would not be working, the resigners work for everybody else, and i cant mod until i figure out why this isnt working. so i really need help with this

No KV have been banned since NXE update (I think)

 

Maybe you just have a corrupted save, I have no clue.

hmm, the save isnt corrupted, the save is completely playable until i rehash/resign it and put it back into the hard drive. then it becomes corrupt...well if its not the resigner...hmm this is rly starting to piss me off...thanks for your help peaches, ill try and work it out on my own but i just cant see any reason why it wouldnt be working...

SWEET!!! i downloaded the new resigner that someone released earlier today and now i can mod again!!! THANKYOU WHOEVER POSTED THAT!!! a mod can lock this topic. it has no use anymore
