miinaturvat Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 On the computers at our school, we cannot browse the C: drive, which is upsetting, because I really need to find a few images on the harddisk and switch them with a few that I have made which are funny. I know roughly where they are, but not exactly. I need some form of harddisk browser. I remember a few years ago, I created a file explorer in VB6, but I've lost it now, along with my copy of VB6. So could anyone help me out and create some form of file explorer that lets me browse 'C:' in a language that doesn't require .NET? (The school's computers don't have .NET Framework ) They do have Java though, so if anyone's good at Java... Also, if it could somehow view or open images, specifically bitmaps, that would be even better Thanks.
sillybob123 Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Sorry i would if i could but i can only use c# and VB08
SmokiestGrunl Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 You could try right clicking on the start button and selecting explore.
miinaturvat Posted December 6, 2008 Author Report Posted December 6, 2008 Can't right-click, can't use CMD.exe (but we can use command.com, but they don't know that )... We have something called "TLC SchoolConnect 5" if it helps.
yungbol Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Put in a Slax Boot disc and wham. You'll be on linux without installing it. Go get the image in Linux.
iBotPeaches Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 File explorer without .NET? Seems very old. Let me look around.
miinaturvat Posted December 6, 2008 Author Report Posted December 6, 2008 Put in a Slax Boot disc and wham. You'll be on linux without installing it. Go get the image in Linux. Teachers get suspicious easy. And they overreact to very simple things. Once, they thought my website gave them a virus, because I edited a background to say my website name at the bottom. And I got banned for a few days for opening up CMD.EXE. It was disabled! And they still banned me! They really don't understand computers at all and will overreact and probably suspend me for running linux File explorer without .NET? Seems very old. Let me look around. It is. I made one a few years ago
iBotPeaches Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I didn't find any. I can make a file explorer in VB, but that uses .NET. Is there a way to turn .NET off and continue coding?
miinaturvat Posted December 7, 2008 Author Report Posted December 7, 2008 I'm not sure... I made one in VB.NET, but it didn't work, so unless .NET can be disabled...
dschu012 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I'm not sure... I made one in VB.NET, but it didn't work, so unless .NET can be disabled... Can you do this for a command prompt.Okay so here is how to make a command prompt for at school or work (simple and to the point) Step #1go to where your school/job keeps your notepad Step #2open it up Step #3type "cmd.exe" Step #4click on save as... Step #5save it as "command.bat" DONT FORGET THE ".bat"!!!!!!!!! Step #6now just go to where you saved it and go ahead and use the command prompt for whatever you need to use it for
SmokiestGrunl Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Can you do this for a command prompt. That wont work. My school blocks command prompt too and even if you get it open it says your administrator has blocked this feature.
Decatur Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 lol TLC is telecom (at my school). They monitor school activity, last year they ran up 4 flights of stairs and started screaming 'Get off the machine' because somebody got on a proxy.
Slidell Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Once, they thought my website gave them a virus, because I edited a background to say my website name at the bottom. Lol,that happened to me I put Ibotmodz on the background and they thought I had put a virus or something.
miinaturvat Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 That wont work. My school blocks command prompt too and even if you get it open it says your administrator has blocked this feature. That's easy to get around. cmd.exe can be disabled on XP. command.com however, can't. so just make your batch file read command.com and you have a command prompt. I don't want to do this, because it requires the use of a batch file, and they keey logs of everyone who uses a batch file. Last time, they shouted at me Anyway, I found something called "NexusFile" on the internet and that works, so nobody needs to find anything now
SotG Caboose Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I did this at my school all you have to do is right click > new > shortcut > name it C:\ and there you go you h4z access t0 t3h C drive lolz.

I bruteforced my teacher's password and the Administrator's password in 5 minutes. Not hard. lol. But as soon as I logged onto the Admin's account, TeleCom locked the PC so I ripped out the power supply and ran to the theory room to do my math homework. Edited December 9, 2008 by Fatal Error

Dark Slipstream Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 miinaturvat, you need msn / aim. I know you have it, send me a pm. I can give you a few apps that give you temporary SYSTEM privleges, or create admin accounts, etc. You cannot block command.com, lol. My school has the following blocked/disabled. Internet Explorer Options, Tools, Favourites, History, Delete History.Firefox (Completely)All applications not specified in Registry are blocked.CMD, Task Manager, Right Click, Address Bar Browsing.Run.., Control Panel (All), Click & Drag, CD/DVD Tray won't open.Remote Control can be taken at any time, easy to get around if you know how My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, My Network Places and Network Connections are all blocked.Folder Options, Registry Editing, Desktop Wallpaper. Windows XP Theme has been overridden with Classic.Shortcuts of any kind cannot be run.Sound is unchangable, if it has sound = All programs in Utility Manager are blocked.Calculator has nothing but Close, Standard, Scientific. We cannot run the following file extensions: (Unless specified in Registry).vbs.exe.rar.7zip.bat.urlALL VIDEO FORMATS.mid.reg.txt.gif.bmp.swf There are more, but that is the jist of it.Our school internet is using 1.0 Tbits.. lol, it's massive fast. The internet uses a sophiscated blocking system to block games from ever launching by disabled .SWF to ever start, as well as blocking .php websites and .cgi. It's a nightmare, the only way to get around it is to use a proxy protected by a .tk domain.
miinaturvat Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 (edited) And I thought my school was bad... I can see why they might want to block '.bat' and '.vbs', but why the hell would they want to block '.txt' and '.bmp'? Edited December 18, 2008 by miinaturvat
Dark Slipstream Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I was running stuff from a .txt in a program I found on the internet, and it bypassed anything. I could embed a blocked program into a .bmp and it would start :/
Dog5point0 Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 lol TLC is telecom (at my school). They monitor school activity, last year they ran up 4 flights of stairs and started screaming 'Get off the machine' because somebody got on a proxy.lol my schools the worst they have a desktop monitoring system on all comps the have almost all extensions blocked they have like millions of wesites blocked (even though me and all my friends figured out the override password "Admin:FCS2" lol ) and one time i was on IBM at school and my librarian used the damn program and started closing it out and then yelled at me in notepad lol and our school uses gay ass macs so there is no cmd the closest thing is Terminal.dmk and .exe isnt even a supported file same with .bak macs have no idea what any of that s*** is they are really GAY
Joe Walls Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I tried the command.com at my school, still blocked that too
