Decatur Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 I noticed this too, is there anyway to put a required number of characters? Say 20-25? Thats a small sentence.

subs_55 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 um what exactly is wrong with bumping again? it doesnt say that you cant in the rules or anything. i dont personally see a problem with it either. whats the point in adding more rules? it isnt hurting anyone and it brings back good topics that new mebers would have missed. i believe they are equally qualified to participate in these conversations as anyone else. its not like they are senseless or hurtful, ya know what im sayin?

Bumping isn't against the rules. Its only if the user brings up a topic that is out dated, such as a topic about all the leaked Halo 3 information, the game is now released and there is no reason to bump that topic.

Decatur Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 i would agree with that, that makes sense. ive looked into the people that the topic poster listed and it doesnt seam to be the case for them. i see no problem here. The thing is, these kids are bumping useless things. 'Great mod' 'i'll be using this ' etc etc.
Korupt Data Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 Also ive always been told to not bump anything over two weeks old... thinking that was a rule or something.
Mcmodder♥ Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Ok i wasnt gonna say anything but theres been a lot of bumping by sowrd, thegoldenmodder and mythic. .___. and ive noticed you guys have been leaving one word posts thats spam guys. ~KD *edit*So yeah i dont know if bumping is wrong or not anymore.... if its alright i apologize ive always been taught its wrong. crazyeightz Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 i dont think bumping is such a bad thing when the topics are useful and important. otherwise i hate bumping. i think that a bad bump should be at the user and moderators discretion. as for the character limit. it is a definit good idea
Curtis Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Bumping leads to spam, and spam leads to bumping. I think the rules are fine though.
Korupt Data Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 Well yeah they were pointless bumps.... and mostly spam bumps so... yeah there are bad kids.
Korupt Data Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) Uhh yea i only click post once my internet $%#^%# sux and lags creating a double post which i have no damn control over. Btw Please delete these double posts.... thats what your job is i believe. Edited November 29, 2008 by Korupt Data
Curtis Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Well yeah they were pointless bumps.... and mostly spam bumps so... yeah there are bad kids. Coming from the guy who just double posted. Haha no hard feelings, sometimes i think you and some other members can spam too.
Decatur Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Hey he has dial up he doesnt know if hes double posting if he hits it a couple times. Bumping is only good for volleyball and uglies.
Korupt Data Posted November 29, 2008 Author Report Posted November 29, 2008 Ok just to clear up why i double post.... I am using dial up internet because of the fact in my area its all i can get as of now, and if you have never had dial up its slow as hell and cause's alot of lag and double sending >.> im not clicking the post button twice im clicking once and i wait like 2 minutes b4 it actually sends and some times i get disconnected while sending my post so it resends it agian (i have no control over this.) and i dont spam i just spend all day on ibm (no life) so i post alot... which last time i checked was just fine.
Dark Slipstream Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Topic Closed. You are allowed to bump, but in moderation. If you think that a specific thread could be used by others / is needed, and has only been inactive for a maximum of 10 days, you can bump it, otherwise leave it there.
