My Review Of Oblivion Expansion: Shivering Isles

This Is A Review For:

The Elder Scrolls IV Expansion, The Shivering Isles

Okay, This is my PERSONAL review, not anyone else's.

Quick Description:

The Shivering Isles is an expansion for TES4: Oblivion. It is said to add around 16 hours to the gameplay, depending on if you explore, cheat and other factors. Anyway, It starts off with you getting a quest notification, saying that a door in the Niben area(near Bravil), on an island has opened, and you should go check it out.

There will be a guard warning you not to go in, and a very disoriented man comes out, and attacks the guard, and gets killed. I won't spoil any more for you.

My experience:

It took me about 1/2 a day of on and off playing, with one cheat, namely

movetoquesttarget or movetoqt

I did this with little exploring, and about 2 side quests. As of now, I do not believe I am done with the main quest, as it continues after the point I am currently at.

Graphics:

Because of my current setup, I can only play on the Very Low setting, with out it being choppy. Even so, The SI looked far better that stock Oblivion did, So:

10/10

Audio:

The Audio was simply amazing, there is no better way to describe it. There was lots of birds in Mania, and other nice sounds, and in Dementia, there were, well interesting sounds (I also have a fairly shittie sound card). So,

9/10

Gameplay:

Defiantly this expansions high point, There are more, harder puzzles, Huge battles, even a war!!!

11/10

Conclusion:

This is a great expansion, worthy of buying and playing.

I Give it a nice:

10/10
