iBotPeaches Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Why does H3 seem worse?Everyone signed on the day, it came out, and everyone was horrible. No one knew the "spots" or anything or any map. 1 month into it, the hardcore players know how it goes down. The issue the game was built so first time players could kill pros. It makes the K/D ratio almost impossible to get up. In H2, you don't play for 1 week, and everyone is better than you. The sniper could pick you off as you walked. more details below ----------------WEAPONS--------------------------------- Battle Rifle:H2- You could shoot 5 bursts, in the time it takes you to shoot 3 in H3H3- Its harder to target, and BR vs AR close wins, BR vs AR far away BR wins My 360, is in repair so I popped my old xbox out of the box, and played Halo 2. It was so fun. Besides the fact of the I tried to keep clicking RB it was fun. I was owning with sniper and BR since there better in Halo 2. Plasma Pistol H2- Noobish of everythingH3- You did decrease it, and let it drain during its powering up, but I still get noobed, as the little green slime follows me around the map I understand, that the point of Halo 3 was to be different, but the Plasma pistol only made a slight difference, you tried to make it so, every weapon you walked over would get picked up. You succeeded but multiple errors occurred Sniper HumanH2- It required that anyone could use it, allowing more good gameplay. The only thing that made other people better was how fast they could scope the head and shoot.H3- It requires that you aren't moving. Proof when you move and snipe, the sniper bullet rises in the direction you were walking. The point of the new sniper, is to be like real war. You can't walk and no scope. you have to sit in a perch and snipe. It has a like 0.02 recoil, so you can't pick off headshots, without dropping your reticle, and not many people can drop it perfectly without getting off target. ARH1- Never could play xboxlive, so couldn't experience it, but during single player, it was your main gunH2- AbsentH3- As Bungie stated in the Vidoc, "In Halo 2 we spawned people with a SMG, a dual wiedable weapon, so instead of melee's and grenades. People would shoot eachother. It was a mistake, which we fixed in Halo 3" Everyone knows on Ivory Tower, back then. You wouldn't keep that SMG unless you grabbed a plasma rifle. Otherwise you would grab the BR, rockets, sword, or snipe. SMGH2-The main weapon, worked well with other guns, and a dual. but by itself you had to be in beatdown range to inflict some real damageH3-Only only some select maps. (only 2 whole ones on High Ground), pretty much taken out of Halo 3. Once you grab it though, its a threat with 2. The AR, if shot first though can take you down. Hinting to try and use some tactics Halo 2 relied on who could run into a rumble and kill 7 people jumping up and down crouching under punches etc. Halo 3 doesn't allow that with the beatdowns, that magnetize to the person, and if they jump your beatdown follows them. Giving the less pro players an advantage. I'm almost sure though like H2, give this game a few more months, and there will be 10x more bugs in H3 than 2. Why you ask? They added a whole map editor and Film viewer, those could be used for something BeatdownsI will explain this fully.H2- Shields count as 10HP, no shields (IE, flashing) is 1HP. You weaken someone, and punch him and he punches you at exact time, it was usually whoever connection got the packets first. Sometimes it was even with 3 beatdowns to kill someone. Weaken, flashing, dead. But if you came from aerial it would take 2 since that first punch depletes the whole shield. It created quite alot of tactics with the beatdown. Because of the shotgun-punch combo.H3- Everyone when spawned gets shields and a set HP of 100. Lets say player A and B Player A, Gets sniped once and hides and recovers fullyPlayer B, gets shot with a needler once and these 2 players meet eachother in the bunker of High Ground. Since player A got hit with a sniper, that put him in flashing taking 9 points of his HP, dropping him to 91, and a needle does around 1HP per needle and Player B is now at 99 HP. The HP doesn't revive unlike your shields. Everything you get your HP dropped, it makes your shields take a .1 of a sec more to go up. So now player A and B meet with A at 91HP and B at 99. A and B both unlease AR on eachother each doing around 4-5 HP. A is now at 87HP, and B is at 93HP. They both come and and punch at the same time. The HP is compared. Even though player A took less hit from the AR, his HP was lower because of the sniper shot, so he will loose the beatdown. Shotgun VS MaulerH3, wow....too much to say. The invisibility has grown to be so good that you only need 1 mauler and and invis. and you can sneak around Epitaph killing 5 people before your invis dies. The mauler shoots with such great force that your beatdown just rides into the person. The shotgun deals alot more damage destroying the mauler. But theres 1 shotgun on select maps, and on High Ground theres 5 maulers. So 1 person has 2 of those maulers all he needs to do is get point blank shoot before shotgun guy and he wins Shotgun VS 1 Mauler point blank: Shotgun winsShotgun punch VS 1 mauler punch: Mauler wins, since it like sucks the punch into the personShotgun VS 2 maulers medium range: Shotgun surprisingly. The maulers spread too much and most bullets miss the person.Shotgun VS 2 maulers close range: The shotgun shoots hes in flashing, the 2 maulers shoot put into flashing. If the user clicked instead of both at once in a .5 second backfeed, so it went boom boom, instead of a big boom. he would win. so this is a both both situation who ever has faster button pushing. NeedlerH2- Duals, on beavercreek were good, but otherwise didn't quote quote lock onto the person untill you were shotgun distance awayH3- Its awesome, the needles take a good 10 second to disappear off the body, so someone could get shot with 5 needles, and need 5 more to die, and he pokes his head out 1 hits him, then 4 more it just keeps going up till he dies. My point after you get with 1 needle, its staying on your body for 10 seconds, and during that time if you take 9 more needles to the body, its insta death Missle PodH2-AbsentH3-Its so maddening on Valhalla when its 1 bomb and you bring your whole team over, and you kill 3 people on top of the base and go below with the whole team, and some loser is camping with missile pod and takes 4 shots, and gets 4 kills, since at AR range that thing shoots 5000 meters per second. Portable TurretsH2-AbsentH3- They take a good 2 seconds, to charge up till the chain starts spinning and bullets starts coming. Its good to dim down the power, but its impossible to get Killmanjaro's when dropping into the hill, since by the time its spinning and killing your dead. GernadesH2- My tool of destruction since Day 1. I would throw grenades into the base and get triple killsH3- Seems like power was decreased. I rarely find plasma's only tons of spikes. AND NO FIRE ones. Whats the point 4 grenades when not one map has the 4thI throw 2 frags, in a room and get no kills. It was decreased a lot. Though added in Halo 3 was blast radius if you land a grenade anywhere near a vehicle driving it tends to flip that vehicle which adds tactics to the game EquipmentIt seems like only Power Drains are everywhere. I want ALL equipment. Wheres the trip mines from the beta. Those were good. I'm not arguing Halo 3 is different I like that, but I just like pointing out the changes WarthogThe turret owns in Halo 3 enough said. Also, it takes 5 grenades to kill it and blow up when H2 required 2. Vehicles more weapons and details coming tomorrow....
