You apply the patch to the mainmenu using Serenity. Then resign it, and your all good

For a jTagged yes, I think Joker told me that you just have to make sure that you have the compatibility partition working and the old xbe(s) will run fine.

No, they do not. You need a compatibility app/emulator/whatever-you-want-to-call it for the Xbox 360 so that it can have backwards compatibility to run Halo 1/2/whatever. Good luck finding it, though.
