chris slack: well its a long story so this may take a while to type

chris slack: ok so i bought the dazzle instant dvd recorder (DVC 100)

chris slack: after getting the drivers and studio updates i got it to work for my vista 32 bit

chris slack: a few days later my pc stopped recognizing the device and DVCD100 and started just calling it usb device

chris slack: later it just stopped capturing

Romeo Borromeo: Please tell me the exact version of your capture device.

chris slack: so i installed everything and redownloaded updates and drivers for an xp pc at my house

chris slack: Dazzle DVC 100 (red one) hold on ill go get it

Romeo Borromeo: Okay.

chris slack: okay im back

chris slack: it is DVC 100 REV 1.1

chris slack: well it didnt work for the xp pc

chris slack: this summer i went to a friends house who had a dazzle device to and his worked

Romeo Borromeo: Okay, where did you install the device?

chris slack: what do you mean?

Romeo Borromeo: Where are you installing the device right now?

chris slack: no where it doesnt work i install it on a pc and it isnt found as what it is

Romeo Borromeo: Have you install the software?

chris slack: yes

chris slack: right now im not on MY pc

Romeo Borromeo: What is the oprating system of your computer?

chris slack: the first was a vista 32 bit which only worked for a few days

chris slack: thats what i used it with

Romeo Borromeo: Okay, have you downloaded the driver for vista for that?

chris slack: yes and i got it to work

chris slack: temporarily though

Romeo Borromeo: Please tell me how did you connect the device?

chris slack: you mean my recording setup?

Romeo Borromeo: Yes.

chris slack: okay well the dazzle was connected to a vhs output, my xbox 360 was connected to the vhs input and i had some composite cables going to the tv so i could view what i record more easily oh and the dazzle was connected by usb to the pc

chris slack: i was using the vhs as splitters

Romeo Borromeo: So you are capturing using the Xbox?

Romeo Borromeo: Have you tried that already?

chris slack: i was capturing the xbox gameplay with the dazzle

chris slack: i made some videos bfore it stopped working

chris slack: i found them because i called up pinnacle and they told me where to dl them

I never use customer support for anything. I just take it back if it doesn't work

Western Digital & Newegg support are both quite good, I have found. MS support... please hold for 40 mins... I'm sorry, we can't help you *beep* *beep* *beep*

Yeah. It's because companies outsource them to other countries to save money. The problem is half of the people they outsource them to don't know how to speak common english. So it's hard to understand them.
