Halo Top 200 was sold for a ton of money and thats why it went crazy. I'll just post the email. Hullo, I go by the moniker Barbarian, and I was the original founder of GameSites200.com. I sold the site a few years ago to pursue other options. The site was doing over 120,000 unique visitors a day at that time, and alas it pains me to see how far the site has fallen. The software for GameSites200 was written in 2001 - and since then I've written a completely new platform that ranks sites based on the traffic a site receives (not the easily manipulated 'votes'). I implemented this software on BlogTopSites.com - and we've tracked almost 1.5 billion unique visitors and almost 3 billion pageviews. Simply put: this is a reliable and scalable system that works. He sold both of them to companies and has started up the 3rd one with the new system. In about 1 month there should be like 2000 Halo Sites back on it.
