How many programs are running in the background, malware that isn't being detected, not much ram, ram consuming programs, etc. I'll start by asking how much ram you got?
us marines 479 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 well if it shuts down it could be hardwhare failure and it could just be lack of RAM or to low on memoery Adn remember there are so many viruses out there protection can only protect you form viruses that have been heared of so they can stop them it may be a new virus that hit you and your virus sheald cant detect it

Quinn Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 If you don't have much ram, the your computer makes up for it by using HDD space. If your computer has done this, I suggest leaving at least 60% of your HDD empty. See if that helps.
