Bungie banning people for forge mods?

If you see a modded map, please hit the "report" button for the file itself, and it will get deleted pending review. However, this is not the same using Forge stuff in-game, those are okay, although you should be clear about any weird things in your description of the map.

 

Also, posting a modded map to the forums will likely get you a ban.

 

And just to make sure there is no misinformation, none of these "mods" affect matchmaking, but that still doesn't mean then are "okay". Uploading them to fileshares or taking screenshots/films of them is against the terms of use, and they will be deleted.

Ok a few things i have to say, the ban their talking about is more than likely a bungie.net ban not a XBL account ban..Also no real modder can get banned because modders have said to bungie "ban me and i will release the signer" if bungie would ban evryone who has modded pictures,maps,videos in their fileshare bungie will killing their customers..just think about how many people would get banned.. lol no one would play gaylo 3 anymore. Bungie should take this forge modding as a gift, it attracts people who dont play gaylo 3 just to come an mod it (yes i know people who have done that before, got halo 3 just to mod it)
