Dark_Anubis_IV Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I deleted the ms dash off my c-drive. I am not really that upset I killed my xbox. Today I was bored and took it apart, now I have the hdd just sitting here kind of useless. All I want to know is if I install the original xbox hard drive on my computer then simply add the ms dash back on, will it work for my xbox or not?

The computer and xbox won't communicate without your eeprom or HDM1.9. If you have your normal xbox working. Plug the power cable of the Harddrive into the power molex cable of the normal xbox. Take the IDE part and plug it into the computer. Turn on xbox, with disc drive IDE cable unplugged to spark error 9. As it loads the error, turn on your computer. All you have done is unlocked your harddrive using the stock xbox motherboard so now your computer can communicate with it. Boot the disc and follow those instructions.
Dark_Anubis_IV Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Thanx. That was helpful. I am sure I'll be able to do it myself, but if anyone knows where a good tut is just let me know.
