RtG_Swimmer_FS Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Well I was thinking and if you forge varients and change the map, then wouldnt the game have to resign the map so you could play the forge varient? I was wondering if there was a way you could get that coding from the disk. If this is impossible please close the topic but I think it might work.
Justrec Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Heh yeah It wont work. Close the topic like he requested.
miinaturvat Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 In theory, it works, but i can't think of any plausable way of finding out how the 'forge editor' resigns maps...
REDSTAR 105 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 How about we look in the hex of a resigned mod, and the same mod, only unresigned, and we look for the differences. I'm thinking it wont work.
mangriff32 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 I had this idea, but i learned that you are simply changing the collection maps and therfore all that would need to be signed would be the con.....i think
killerskittle Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 I am preety sure it has something to do with the .XEX on the halo 3 disc. You can extract it and maybe HEX it to find how it is signed...just another idea.
miinaturvat Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 How about we look in the hex of a resigned mod, and the same mod, only unresigned, and we look for the differences. I'm thinking it wont work. That would work, if you had a resigned an unresigned version of the same map. Now how would one go about obtaining these i wonder... Suppose you could ask Anthony nicely if he would do that for you...
Random1225 Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 In theroy it could work but I have no idea how we could get the forge editor to resign our maps.
