How To Clear Your X, Y, Z Cache

Clearing your X, Y, Z (Really just X & Z) is used for applying vechile skins and fixing some dirty disc errors

 

 

The simplest way is just to load a different game, then switch back to halo 2 it will automatically clear

 

 

First FTP to your Xbox (Use FTP tutorial if new to this)

 

Enter the X drive

 

 

 

 

Now Delete These Files

cache000.map

cache001.map

player_configuration_cache.dat

preferences.dat

 

 

 

Now go to the Z Drive

 

 

 

 

Now Delete These Files

cache002.map

cache003.map

cache004.map

cache005.map

savegame0.bin

savegame1.bin

 

 

Now your Cache is cleared and you will see the skins you have applied or hope those dirty disc errors go away

 

 

To get a good set of cache files(to get rid of dirty disc errors) just run your Halo 2 disc and it will copy the cache files from disc
