iBotPeaches Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 This is xI Nice Shot Ix's easy to understand tutorial on how to mod the xbox 360 once you have bought the Datel xSata 1 First you need a device called the Datel xSata and it costs around $50. 2 It should come with a cd and you must install the cd on the computer. 3 Connect the datel xSata to the place where the hard drive connects. 4 Once connected you must connect the hard drive to the top of the Datel xSata. 5 Next hook up the Datel xSata to your computer with the usb cord that it comes with. 6 Turn on your 360 and the device should light up blue and if it does then go on your computer and open up xplorer 360 which is the CD it comes with. 7 Once opened click drive at the top of the program then click open and to the right select the tab that says hardrive or memorycard. 8 Next 3 Tabs should pop up and you should be connected to your 360. 9 Click the tab that starts with a 3 10 Then click on the next tabs I give you in order: Compatibility,xbox1,Tdata,the file that ends in 064,$c,and then there should be three tabs that have a bunch of random numbers and those are your halo 2 map files. 11 Open up one and you should see the names of the maps on halo 2. 12 Next right click on each map one by one and click extract and send all of them to a file called backup maps so if you ever mess up a map you have fresh clean maps on your computer. 13 Either make some mods or download them and when you have a map ready to put on your 360 you go to the file of the map on your 360 and right click it and click insert and you should insert the map that you want to overwrite the one already there. 14 When you have done that to all your maps you have to remove the Datel xSata from the top of your 360 to sign on the xbox live. 15 HAVE FUN
.dice♥ Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 i would call this more of DLC modding for the 360 more than 360 modding
