As for the botnets, I'm not any master at those.

 

A bot needs to communicate with an IRC channel or the outside world. So lets install Zone Alarm and use that. Apon install it will prompt you to approve every internet connection. Approve firefox, and MSN, and wait till a random one comes up and reject all, the bot can't communicate so its done. Theres no way if its a new type of a bot to find it, since theres over 1000 bots made.

you said you re-formatted, that should have deleted everything, unless something heppend where it installed on different hdd's
