echelon3 Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Back in my modding heyday, i would never save my mods as patches or even just save the whole map, I would simply overwrite them with my new mods. bad idea. Now i got a college interested in seeing my mods and I have to redo all of them. All the ones I'm thinking of doing had problem solving involved and i forgot which steps i took to get the final outcome. basically i jus need some logic to help me figure out what im doin wrong.Hammer of dawn mod- sentinel beam with increased power comes down from the sky. i set the spawn points x,y,z to X(height)-50(might have changed it to 100, but im pretty sure i decided against it) Y(left/right)-0 in center, and Z(depth) to about 8. Then i increased the damage and damage radius/size of the beam. now the map wont load. and yes i already checked is i resigned it, resigned it again just in case, and it still wont load. is there a possibility that the spawn number (x for example) is just to big?
.Slack♠ Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 i could never get this to work it would always shoot over my head and kill me in the process
iBotPeaches Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages/8163-631.jpg Use those are your info. 1) Do NOT change Heat Per Round, that was my bad takening the picture. 2) Go into Tag Editor and put the Number of projectiles to 5. 3) Go to Projectile at the bottom and select 0 in the dropdown menu. 4)Edit the X coordinate to 3, the Y coordinate to 0, and the Z coordinate to 10 5)The real Hammer of Dawn never runs out of ammo so we will put the Age per round to 0. This is done via dothalo. There was my quick tutorials. You can also find another real good one, here at halomods. Click this text to visit. Next week I'll convert most of their tutorials, to our database.
echelon3 Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 huh. im not near an xbox so i cant test it, but when ever i changed the x to a higher height it would just shoot normally until there was a piece of collision or mach at or below that height. then it would snap back and forth between my gun and the piece of collision. I'll edit or repost once i get home and test it out. ty btw.
