Most of you won't remember, but I am xHdTxHaloModder. I saw this thread yesterday when I was just checking out iBotModz again yesterday, couldn't find my password but I finally got it. Since everyone is saying there "good-byes" I might as well do the same. I planned on re-joining this site a few months ago, but I got caught up in some "irl" stuff and I couldn't get around to re-joining.

I remember when I first got that message from Peaches that he was banned off whatever modding site (It was either Zero Gravity's or HaloMods) and he quickly needed me to join this site (well, it was the old blue & black forumer forums) and then my journey on iBotModz began. I was 9 or 10 at the time, I was moderator for about a week or so, then Peachers found out and removed me from staff. ;3

Once iBotModz migrated over to this new site, we lost a lot of the old school members. Lost some good friends, but everyone moves on.

Peaches, I just want to reach out to you personally and say thank you for inviting me to this site, I called it "home" for quite a long time. Ever since I left this site I joined the hacking scene and learned a lot about Computer Security. I can honestly say If you didn't invite me on to this site, I'd probably never have the computer knowledge I have today. I would have never learnt so much about modding, I would have never stayed in to computers this long. So I have to thank you for everything that you basically gave to me. I'd also like to thank you for dealing with my 9 - 12 year old ass while I was on this website. I've matured a LOT since I joined this site. I actually know how to spell "actual" now. lol.

I would like to say a final goodbye to all the friends that I had the pleasure of meeting on this website.

Well, I wasn't here at this site for very long, and I wish I had spent more time here. I knew you fairly well Peachez and we had some great discussions. Sadly, I kinda dropped off the H2 modding thing once my Xbox fried on me, that and family had become a bigger priority. I had a great time during my run with everyone here and the community. As wierd as it sounds, you all sorta became like family to me in some way or another. Some of you were great inspirations, kinda like a brother or sister. Others were stern and harsh kinda like a second set of parents.

In any case, we achieved and helped carry a legacy of modding that people will go on to remember for generations, that much i am sure. So thanks again to everyone in the community that helped make Ibotmodz and the Halo community in general an awesome place to be and create! Cheers guys!

PS: I'll catch you eventually over at 343i Peachez ;)

Thank you for the mention Peaches and Lax :D

Where do I begin, I was always the old guy having to teach all the tardbabies in the cbox.

I am 23 just graduated college with a music teaching degree. notice teach is repeated from the cbox to my now profession.

I Still have some of my hardmodded xboxes as well as some old softmodded xboxes. Don't get played much anymore but when I see them up on that shelf it reminds me of a time long ago when i had this site to always go to for anything I needed.

I remember saying "find a tutorial" about a thousand times a day back then. Halo2 modding was beast and the community that spawned off of it was incredible. yes there were those douschbags that wanted credit for everything that was found, but for the most part it was all about finding something new and sharing it with the rest of us. I remember when shader swaps were first found. and then the next day EVERY SINGLE mod showcased that specific thing.

I remember when Yelo trainer was released and everyone sh!t themselves.

Killtrocity mappack was in its own league of mods and noone knew where to go from there.

Then killtrocity mappack 2 came out and even more mods were created after that.

model swaps were a thing of the past, you now had to incorporate them into the mod seemlessly.

I was already in college when halo 3 came out so I never really had time after that for any of this.

I was also dissapointed to see how h3 modding was so different from h2 modding.

ppl trying to sell modded maps for m$ points :/ this is what killed the community

I am still friends with peaches and nox1336 and snail on xbl.

Im in adult mode now so i dont have really much time for playing games but if anyone wants to chill add me on xbl

GT - Scary lil boy

I'd love to do a shoutout list but I would just forget someone and feel so damn bad about it.

whatever here goes:

Peaches, Lax, Melo, Nielsss, Anarchy, MasterSnail, StevenSVE, EazyB, Curtis, Fattwam, yungbol, snowmon333, Dark Ruler, , Korrupt Data, Dark Slipstream, SmokiestGrunl, Dan, Slack, Slidell.

my post count is very low, but remember that is because of the site switch so long ago. mine should be around 2.5k but you all should know that post count doesn't mean you know anything about what you are talking about. If you really want help i suggest the people mentioned above, they were my inspiration and made me into the person I am today.

I still visit this site at least once a day believe it or not. I just don't have time to really post, but if you guys ever need anything I am always looking for ways i can still contribute to the site.

Hey as many of the others who have posted I to was a Lurker but I got started Modding and this forum has formed my future. It got me started into this technical hoohah and now I love every second of it. PS has anyone figured out how to non jtag/dev kit mod halo reach? But that's besides the point I'm accualy going to start designing computer parts at one of the big two, either intelligence or amd preferably amd because that comapany has fueled my computer everything since birth. I just wanted to say thank you for hosting this forum because it was the first forum that I can remember and it has had such a massive effect on my life. Well guys --fausto240-- out. Peace.

Sorry to see this site go. I know how it is man. To all who don't know me... I had a chat a while back with iBotPeaches about becoming an affiliate. Hell I even did a kick-ass logo that took me 2-3 hours to do when the site was looking for a new look. I guess it doesn't matter now. But if anyone needs a breath of fresh air I have created a forum category in recognition for iBotModz and everything is was and could have been. Peaches, you are always welcome back to my site even though we never got anything going. Here's to you.

Thanks for the offer and forum, but iBotModz was founded on the premise that we wouldn't require registrations to view content, as it just pisses people off and doesn't aid in the community. Its more of business motto instead of community motto. If people want to join a community they will, the forced registration is just maddening. That forum requires registration, and though I have an account I don't wish for the rest of the community to do so. I thank you for the offer, but I do not wish for iBotModz to have a dedication forum.

So apparently I signed back up in 2009, woah. I guess I can I feel bad now that my first post could possibly also be my last.

It was only pure chance I saw my email, it was even in my junk and I'd have never normally read it.

I've had a quick browse around the site and it seemed like it'd have been fun. I'm going to continue to look around whilst I still can.

If anyone ever wants to hit me up on skype do, my screen name is: thisREEL.

Or if your on Se7enSins my username is: heXdz.

Hope to speak to some members soon :D

I remember joining this website 4 years ago. This is my first post... yeah, sorry for not being very supportive or active. I was only interested in Action Replay content for the Xbox. All the downloads you had were too complicated for me to even figure out. Edited by PowerSQUIRRELY

Well, it sorta sucks that this site is closing. I have been a non-member and sorta lurked around, but yeah. Even while being a member, i still havn't been active due to stuff in the real world. Anyways, this is sorta sad for me, but in a way it isn't.

Peaches --

Being my best friend in real life and all, I've already given you the mushy sentimental crap that people on here are doing, but I think this would be a great chance to re-iterate it.

You are the reason that I am interested in anything related to computers. I remember when we were in middle school, and all of a sudden one day I came over to your house to play xbox and you showed me this crazy thing called modding you learned, which gave you the ability to change stuff in Halo 2. I knew so little about computers that you had to show me how to use the file explorer. Now I'm at MST learning shit about computers on my way to a Computer Engineering degree with an internship after my freshman year. All thanks to you and your perseverance about learning something new.

You've shown over 20 THOUSAND people what a computer is capable of doing and given them tools they otherwise may not have. That goes so far beyond technical experience and something you can put on a resume.

I can tell you right now, IBM isn't done. It's still got a ways to go, but no matter what ends up happening, other people and I will ALWAYS remember what this has given us.

I respect what you've done and where you will go and look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks.

Everyone else --

I really respect all of you that have given me part of the knowledge that I have today. I may not have been very active on the site, but trust me, I read your posts, and I knew who you were. I heard about all of you, and I'm sure some of you would be surprised at how much you're brought up in conversation between me and peaches.

I hope some of you saw this message and continue to be active. Though school is very time consuming, I will do my best to help out with that as well.

God. Losing this site feels like Im losing my very own child. I remembered staying up days and nights trying to learn how to mod both Halo 2 and Halo 3. Using the good ol' export 360 tool from Codejunkies in order to dock my hard drive. Fighting over the first resigner and having people actually sell them to people when we can get them free. I remember seeing pictures of snowhalla when Halo 3 was in its prime, thinking I wanna do that one day, and being turned down cause I would need a dev kit when now we have J-tags. The sligstorm conspiracy if he was actually a real modder or just stole mods. And one name that stands out the most is SmokiestGrunl. Hes the one who got me started on Halo 2 modding, this guy made some amazing tutorials and unlike people now a days who just shib shab tutorials on how to mod and asking them for help, they just ignore you and wish the best. If you pm'ed this guy he would tell you how to do it. I swear there was no other place better than iBotmodz to go for your modding needs. As it was my first modding site, it was also my favorite. And among se7ensins and Xbox360-tampers (when they were in business) it was also the most user friendly. So long to such a great community, Im gonna miss occasionally coming on here to get hit by massive nostalgia. Shout out to khaosmaster or bigkillerjoe whatever you name might be now haha. It was fun guys.

I remember those days, although I haven't completely given up on the 360', it's pretty much-

Get Jtag

Make Lobby

Invite Randoms

????

Literally Profit.

I mainly went to PC again after 360' went mainstream, just so I could relive the fun of-

This seems right...wait a second...ABANDON MOD!!!111!!!

'OR

Hmm let's just see what hap...that was awesome.

At least with minecraft I got to learn two new languages JAVA, and YMAL & Json Formatting (Server.)

^It was also modding that made me pick up Microsoft .net, and HALO Custom Edition.

Just got reminded, I actually got into modding Halo at 8 years old with Halo Trial on the PC

10 years old for Halo 2 modding (Joined iBotModz)

15 Years old now, still here, and now shifted my interests to physical modding (engineering stuff)

Why talk trash about one of the fallen sites? It's like kicking a dead dog...

Did you see what they let it become? I was friends with some of the mods, and many of the members (still am), and the admins let it crash and burn. This site is worlds better.

Wow, what a post and sum up of my whole "internet childhood" was like. I remember trying to hardmod my xbox1 and completely failing at soldering being like 12 years old. Getting it right being a noob h2 modder. H3 comes out and for some reason I strived to actually be known in this era. I learned some c# for a few months and started developing half ass applications but somehow some of them were pretty good. I would just give pointers around and I remember being flamed for trying to get my h3 maps resigned when I first started to hex edit.

Then it all changed when I released Darktrap (H3 usermap) before the resigner was released and became known and then started releasing more. Started programming and trying to help out. Then everything got so difficult and too secure and taking 1k to buy a dev kit etc. I just sort of lost interest in it due to the expenses.

But man I wish I could go back. I really do...

Dear iBotModz goers,

It has been a while since I've even brought this site to mind. Even though I may not have left this site in the best of ways, (Hint War with Dark Slipstream), we had some memorable times.

Such as, anyone remember, "ALL U COMP R BELONG TO EPSILON," or hell even me mistakenly calling T3A an "Asian Asshalo"? What about the "Wanted" pictures? Even though I took some crap from the staff it was yet another instance where we forgot about modding for a minute and just had some fun.

Even though modding is what originally brought this unruly bunch togather, we each at the end of the day, took home our own deeper sense of meaning from this site. We all had our place amongst each other here. Whether it was a ney guy in his learning period or Spargy smarting off to someone in the Chatbox, we all knew our places. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean that this site was civil, we had everything from serious talks about religion and politics to the occasional guy freaking about zombies or wanting a flying warthog in Halo 3.

Regardless of how this site slowly began to dwindle away into nothing, I believe that everyone gained something from this wonderful community of Modders, Jokers, Noobs, Idiots and just plain asshalos.

I personally enjoyed the short time in which I roamed this site and hope everyone else did also.

It's a shame to see this site go,

R.I.P iBotModz.net

Sincerely,

Jeehs
