iBotPeaches Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Hello very few remaining members, As always I messed up during the upgrade. APC (php cache), I left on during the upgrade. It caches paths and random variables and then something happened during the upgrade and it spat out the wrong cached variables and caused lots of un-planned errors. However, I did do a backup. So I just restored that, and then we continued with APC disabled. This is a big update and I tried to minimize the change, by keeping our old skin. Everything I tested seems to be working, but I still have a few things to fix with the skin. Otherwise, as mentioned. This is our last update. Enjoy it. Thanks,~peaches 4
iBotPeaches Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 Any opinions would be great guys. The skin only took me a few hours, and it could use some work.
iBotPeaches Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 kk, asking me why its the last? or peach why are you gonna change anything when you said its the last update? Well... 1) The site is dead. This site piggybacks off another site I run. As long as that other site is successful, I have no problem continuing to pay for the server. However, if the site dies. I don't wanna pay anymore for iBotModz, as it just isn't the flourishing community it once was. Nor do I make any money from it, to cover payments. 2) I'm continuing to update this release for bugs and what not. We just won't be making any updates any more. We are here to stay on the 3.2.x branch.
Twis7eD Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) Looks great tbh. I'm really a big fan of IPB 3.2 from what I have seen on other forums and here so far. I was pretty much completely against IPB until this version came out. Nice job on the skin, Peaches. Edit: One thing I did notice is that iBotModz button in the navbar directs to the forums no matter what. Not sure if this is intended because there is already a forums button there too. I'd suggest making it take you to the homepage if you are on the forums and have it not show up if you are on the homepage. Edited October 19, 2011 by Twis7eD

Randomrocket Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Small suggestion.Move the top items to the center like this. yes please lol
iBotPeaches Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 Small suggestion.Move the top items to the center like this. kk. I'll work on that. I wonder if I wrap the entire header with the wrapper will it work. It might be difficult.
iBotPeaches Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 Before I work on that, I'm working on some cache problem. It seems APC is caching more than it should. For example, I make a new post and the index doesn't reflect that new post untilI manually refreshI restart apachean hour or so passes I don't know if that is the same for all users, or just my firefox caching too much, but I think I need to configure APC a bit more.
