Slidell Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/4/2011/09/grail.jpg At 9:08 this morning, NASA shot two spacecraft into space to visit our beloved moon. As part of the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory mission, the rockets will map the entire lunar surface and interior to see how it formed and evolved. The GRAIL rockets are expected to reach the moon by New Year's. The mission is also carrying a digital video imaging system called the MoonKAM, which will allow middle schoolers to explore the lunar surface in their classrooms. I'm kind of jealous.
