iboot + vanilla OSX dvd = win

Also, use verbose boot (-v) so you can see the error, and use safe mode if necessary.

Also,

Remove the blu ray drive, just to see what happens. Also, make sure that your computer is in ACHI mode (I'm assuming you knew that, but w/e)

i have tried with 2 different os x disc. they all come back with the error " still waiting for root device"

im currently downloading the snowleopard_10a432_userdvd.dmg

i read somewhere that my processor is the newer "sandybridge" chipset and there was a 10.6.7 update to support this chipset

i have the 10.6.7 Combo Update.dmg and waiting for the retail snow leopard 10.6.0 dvd to download. what i ask is if there is anyway i can merge the 10.6.7 update to the retail disc image ?

changed it to BIOS to AHCI and enabled it in windows 7 noob Q but what is that suppose to do lol

AHCI is the only way that OSX can read your hdds.

From the looks of it, your having hard drive issues. Is the hard drive' partition table MBR or GPT? If all else fails, boot with the safe mode flag.
