Lockon Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 PlayStation Network is still offline, with no new information on when it will be live again. Sony's PSN service is now in its seventh day offline, despite initial suggestions that the downtime would only last a couple of days. Sony admitted that the PlayStation Network had been hit by andexternal intrusion, and shut the servers offline to protect personal information. “Unfortunately, I don't have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time†We contacted Sony regarding the matter, who couldn't offer any other comment beyond the latest post on the official PlayStation blog. "Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time," stated James Gallagher, blog manager at SCEE, "As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly." Hard luck if you were trying to get on Portal 2's co-op over the weekend, but the problems may continue for some time to come.
