if you would be wanting to capture just from your xbox, i could do a tut for you when i get home next weeked. if you want to record just from a telly things get different...

not much different. Just plug the wires from your TV OUT into your cap card. Or plug your Directv(or whatever) directly into your cap card

most tv's dont have a tv out... i've owned 4 tv's in my life and only 1 did. wheras with the xbox, if you use the component HD cable, the non HD wires are still outputting at the same time so you can wire them up to your nonHD cap card, while playing on your HDTV ;)

the way i get around that is a phono 1-in to 2-out splitter. but if you're low on cash, you could always just plug your audio phono leads into the cap card and just do without it on the xbox while you game. for montages etc thats a decent way to work

meh. My cap card has audio and video out in hd. So Im good :p
