Randomrocket Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Its the only way they can make money off of a used version. They probably got it from the seller for $10. I once sold a unopened copy of Need for Speed Carbon for Gamecube to PlayNTrade and only got $4 for it. They thought it was awesome how it wasn't even opened that they put it up on their wall of awesome. XD

They wanted to give me 4$ for mario cart double dash, EB gave me 20$.
Randomrocket Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 but they were cheaper than Gamestop. And they let you play the full game in the store before you bought it. My friends and I would just go in there during lunch to play some Halo.

Quinn Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 I got Halo Wars for about 60 cents. Yeah, thats the price of a blank dual layer DVD.
Randomrocket Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 I got Halo Wars for about 60 cents. Yeah, thats the price of a blank dual layer DVD.Quinn, some people like to support game devs... lol
gruntmods Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 I got Halo Wars for about 60 cents. Yeah, thats the price of a blank dual layer DVD.I got it for $80 at launch, which included the limited edition box, comic, and the halo 3 map pack 2 weeks before release. It also included 2 unique in game units and allowed me to support ensemble studios last game.
iBotPeaches Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 I never got Halo Wars, because I don't like that style of game.
Randomrocket Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 I never got Halo Wars, because I don't like that style of game.It sucked as a RTS anyway. who likes 5 hour matches that are stuck in a stand off. One guy attacks, and destroy both armies, then its a race to rearm and do it again...

Im very high on the leaderboards in halo wars
Randomrocket Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Obiously you didnt play the right game, as its very difficult to rebuild when they have an army. Im very high on the leaderboards in halo wars yeah. I need a mouse and keyboard for my rts. Im pretty good at C&C4 for PC
gruntmods Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 yeah. I need a mouse and keyboard for my rts. Im pretty good at C&C4 for PCI like the gamepad better.
Randomrocket Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 I like the gamepad better.I need keys man. and the mouse is easier to move and select things. But if possible, I would definitely play against you on your xbox and on my pc....
iBotPeaches Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 The only "quote" RTS I've played was the original Red Alert before it got all 3D and ugly. I found a picture of it. http://majorslack.com/pics/screenshots/redalert_01.jpg Most RTSs these day I think are soo complicated until you've played a days worth of gaming. Anyone can play the original Red Alert and be an experienced player in 10 minutes.
Quinn Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Quinn, some people like to support game devs... lol I would love to, but buying the game retail doesn't help the devs as much as you would think. I'm too tired to find it atm, but OXM had an interesting pie graph of where you $60 (or w/e) goes. Google it up. It sucked as a RTS anyway. who likes 5 hour matches that are stuck in a stand off. One guy attacks, and destroy both armies, then its a race to rearm and do it again... I liked it D: yeah. I need a mouse and keyboard for my rts. Im pretty good at C&C4 for PC I agree with the mouse and keyboard, but C&C4 was an ABOMINATION!!!! The game took the original C&C formula and threw it right out the damn window. I played it for the campaign, then uninstalled it, and played Starcraft II
gruntmods Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 I need keys man. and the mouse is easier to move and select things. But if possible, I would definitely play against you on your xbox and on my pc.... Right dpad toggles base views, down dpad toggles squads, up dpad selects covie leader. Holding left trigger doubles your move speed.

Anyone can play the original Red Alert and be an experienced player in 10 minutes.Advance Wars 2. I got a gameboy emulator and idk why but thats a fun game haha C&C4 was awesome for the gameplay. But I have to agree, it was completely different from all the other rts games. Mobile bases and no need to build shops and power plants. Very different but fun. It REALLY sucks when you have a bad team because you cant upgrade anything! Everybody gets upgrades at the same time or nobody does.
iBotPeaches Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Advance Wars was another RTS I played, and I agree it was very fun. I played the one when there was like Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Team VS the deadly Black Team who always had some fancy machine that generated Neo tanks.

I think it was the second one that allowed you to customize the landscapes and stuff. That was fun
gruntmods Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 You really love that game don't you...no, I only made my own version for the lolz /sarcasm
